@wogitalia had a good post a week of 2 back expecting Macrae to be the major beneficiary of Dunkley’s departure, others I respect expect him to have a huge year as well.

Your point on byes is well made, it will require some careful planning to avoid a disaster in Rd15

I can't see much improvement on the below. Have tried a couple POD's in Setterfield and Ziebell. Really concerned about them though. Any thoughts would be most welcome

Thoughts?

Looks pretty good to me, 12 keepers maybe 13? I think the issue of a reliable Captain's score could be a thing but pretty solid.

Never had so many iterations on a team but have almost settled on this.
I previously had Dawson as my D2 but needed cash to upgrade W Brodie (M3) to Macrae, which also enabled me to keep Jelly, who was my M2, and upgrade Bruhn to Hopper.
I did have Flanders at F5 but after the chatter here have for the moment gone to Mitch Owens; as so many say all things being equal pick someone you’ll enjoy watching. I could downgrade Owens to Ratugolea and bring Dawson back in but prefer current team.
Your comments and advice would be most appreciated. Thanks guys!

Thanks @Russty_ yes I reckon Owens will score well early matches with the other talls out plus both he and Pou seem set to get midfield time. Not sure about Sturt in R1, a couple of the rookies are place holders at the moment

I'd like to see Owens dominate like he did in the juniours, reckon I might start him over Flanders, you've inspired me!, and that last score of Owens Be great to see some good young talent coming through at the Saints, give us some hope for the future ay?

I hear ya, I was right there in 2009 / 2010 when it slipped away, twice, I still think we have a few years to go until we can contend at least, recruiting is crucial from here.

Thanks mate. Not really sold on how much McLean will play, but will check it out. The dropping Points from Ziebell might be less than the points gained from Setterfield to a Premo. Also, don't want to sacrifice POD'S as well, but will investigate. Thanks

Yes @Russty_ and @wolfbunny I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve heard “next year” over the decades. But I agree we now seem to be bringing in and building on good young talent like we did in early 2000s. not plugging holes like the last decade.

Drop a Gawn down to a Grundy/Darcy/English and depending on your remaining salary, you could use this for a more realistic rookie lineup given it is unlikely for three to four playing rookies priced at $102,400 and allows more flexibility when teams are announced as it is easier to drop down rookies if the basement priced options appear. If you would prefer to keep Gawn, then a fwd over $400,000 could be dropped to Fyfe, Ziebell, etc price range,
