If he's the #1 ruck that's good. If he's forward majority with Miller in ruck, bad.

Doubt he'll be no 1 ruck but could be you never know.

More stoppages = more ruck contests

It's risky being a ruck, especially this year and in slippery conditions...anyway was just a btw thought.

Named first ruck in the Richmond team. Obviously team sheets aren't everything but could be a decent indication.

Anyway, it's either Ryan or JVR in this week and both have similar issues (key forwards in wet conditions). Think with Nank and Lynch out Ryan has better JS though, ruck contests a bonus, so going him.

Yeah, we’ll see. Ryan named in the ruck on team sheets but I noticed Bigoa Nyuon was number 1 ruck in the first 2 VFL games but Miller was number 1 last week.

I'm completely stumped guys. The only way for me to go Doch > Dawson and bring in JVR with only Comben to spare out of the FWD line, is to do three trades.

So many of you are going to disagree with this, but yet another boost is to be exhausted.

I tried Doch, Comben, Chesser - not enough. Early sale on Davey grants me Dawson, an uber cash cow in JVR, and the guy replacing Nank for my Tigers who's on 19 BE.

I will say it again and hope for the best, barring any injuries™ - my team going into the Round 5 and hopefully a couple more, is:

Even if Ryan is forward (will be wet, I know) Sydney have only named 1 KPD which is Robbie Fox. You would think he takes Riewoldt and someone like Cunningham or Blakey has to play on him.

The trades look ok to me but how many boosts have you used? I think you need at least 3 after this round to keep up with everyone else in a few weeks during upgrade season.

The trades look ok to me but how many boosts have you used? I think you need at least 3 after this round to keep up with everyone else in a few weeks during upgrade season.

As of tonight, i've used 3 boosts. Ridiculous I know. However:

Round 3: Gawn, Fyfe, Flanders > Daicos, DCam, Ziebell
Round 4: Neale, DCam, Callaghan > Oliver, English, T.Young
Round 5: Doch, Davey, Comben > Dawson, S.Ryan, JVR

Each week, I've had to extend to a 3rd trade to fund the right trade-ins, such as Daicos, Clarry, English and Dawson. As you can see, I'm a victim of the carnage.

From this point onwards, I absolutely cannot afford to boost until trading season. So I can only hope I have the best foundation possible moving forward.

Is it safer to just wait a week on Samson Ryan and see if he has the role instead of potentially wasting a trade on him?

He has a breakeven of 19, so he will still be under 200K even if he scores 100 in the #1 ruck role we are hoping for - that is still a bargain if he actually has that role.

There is obviously the risk that Soldo returns quickly, but the timeline on his foot injury has already gone from 1-3 weeks last week to 2-3 weeks this week. They might even be happy to build Soldo up in the VFL and give Ryan a good run at it if he performs well.

Samson better JS but worse scoring imo.
JVR getting a gig with Brown in the side too is handy, Dee's should be winning their next few by a fair margin.

Team sheets are basically useless, especially for the Tiges, Shane Edwards was named at CHF for majority of his career.
Tyler Sonsie is named there this week.
