Discussion 2023 Round 3: Teams & In Game Discussion

Yes, but because ones a rookie and the other isn't that is pretty standard. Chandler needs 3-4 more to make enough cash to start upgrades, and is currently the leading rookie. That is why he is a priority.

Discussion 2023 Round 3: Teams & In Game Discussion

I know everyone is excited about Setterfield, just be mindful that if he drops back to around a 100 average or drops a 60, he wont make more than around $110k before round 10. Nothing to be sniffed at for sure, but I feel like everyone sees that huge round 2 score and just thinks he will rocket...

    Strategy 2023: Round 3 Trades

Over 4,000 coaches trading out JHF. I'm betting at least half of them only traded him in last week! I started with him, and will hold him for a while at least, as his role is excellent and he plays 3 out of the next 4 at home. Come the byes im willing to bet that both are fairly similar score...

    Strategy 2023: Round 3 Trades

I have greater confidence that LDU is a top 10 mid, but having said that Setterfield should make enough cash anyway, that even if he doesn’t end up a top 10 mid he can be M8 and a luxury trade late in the upgrade cycle. cash in bank is awfully handy with injuries everywhere.

    News Injuries & Suspensions

It’s Fyfe, you pick him knowing he’ll play 14 games or less each season and you take the punt hoping he’ll play the first 6. That’s SC risk reward, sometimes you strike gold, sometimes you get burned, but if you don’t try at all you go nowhere.

    Strategy 2023: Round 3 Trades

JHF has 3 out of the next 4 in Adelaide including one against the Eagles. I think he’ll do just fine through that period, and we can asses whether he’s a hold/trade up/trade down prospect after week 6.

Option 1 - two massive premos and an Uber cash cow.

    Strategy 2023: Round 3 Trades

First up, you don’t need Bowes til next week. Second up getting Cole is simply trading in another problem as he will average 50, and he’s 180k. Chesser to Chandler via Uwland looks smart, then maybe downgrade Doch to Daicos. That should give you the cash to get setterfield in, although he...

    Strategy 2023: Round 2 Trades

I think both will prove to be solid picks, Port have 3 of the next 4 at home against Crows, Dogs & Eagles. I expect 90+ from those and his price will surge when the 45 drops out of his 3rnd average after round 5.

2185 this week, didnt make any trades, kept Jones on field. Chesser, Greene & OAllen on the chopping block.

Discussion 2023 Round 2: Teams & In Game Discussion

Agreed, given how hard he works, 50 is his floor and he's a good chance of jagging a 90+ as his confidence grows. Running comfortably as my M8 until I get a loophole option.

Hopper will ton up this week, two extra recovery days and against a Crows mid field coming off that energy sapping furnace in Sydney on sunday.

    Strategy 2023: Round 2 Trades

I'm very tempted to do Jones to Rampe. If he can score a 90+ v the Hawks, followed by a couple of 80's he makes about $90-100k by week5, and I'm not sweating on Wilmot or Cowan to score 50+ this week. Problem is, I don't have Callaghan, and if I make the Jones trade, I never will and he is far...

    Opinion RD2: VC/C Selections

Witts into Green worked great last week, but that leaving things a little late. Neale into Green? The Lions at home against a big rival and needing to prove they aren't that second half fade out team from week. Neale was 70 odd at H/T and then fell apart like the rest of the Lions mids, so just...

West Coast are one of the oldest lists in the comp. They need to play the kids every week to see where their list development is heading, I think he will play regularly but with an occasional rest.

Never understood why he doesn't play as a mid, he has a massive tank.

Tomlinson had one of his best games in Demons colours, can't see him getting dropped.

    Strategy 2023: Rookies Discussion

With Kozzie out for 2, i would say he safe for 2 weeks. McVee, Laurie and Sparrow all go before him in my view, even Melksham might go before him. Ideally you want him to play at least 5 more, and if he keeps playing well I reckon he will.

Agree, if they are going to be serious about high contact all three are 2 games minimum. Pickets and McAdam maybe 4.

    Strategy 2023: Round 2 Trades

Its very early to tell, but it looks like Rampe has his old role back, or perhaps its an entirely new role i'm not sure. If you look at last years heatmaps, he was purely controlling one side defensively, sometimes the left side, sometime the right but never both and always as a lock down...
