What do you think he will average this year out of interest? In terms of the forward line, there's a good chance he will be top 6 at the end of the season. I'm also querying the $588K a bit, but he doesn't seem as overpriced as some other players.
Mid to high nineties.

Very unlikely that he is going to outperform his price and predominately being an outside midfielder limits his ceiling and will likely cause a large drop in price allowing him to be available for low 500 to high 400 before RD10.

Nothing definitive that he will be a top 6 forward and I think it is a lazy approach to not bother searching for value. Far more enjoyable if it pays off and if not so be it, rather than paying that amount for a player that is not a captaincy option and has next to no upside.

2018- Ranked 1st for Total Uncontested Possessions
2019- Ranked 9th for Total Uncontested Possessions
2020- Ranked 8th for Total Uncontested Possessions Per Game

I haven't included him myself, as I prefer other options, was just curious on your thoughts. I had him pegged around 95-105 which is possibly slightly higher than yourself, but seems a few of us now are expecting him to still be affordable if you don't start him. Good confirmation, thanks.

Early days for my 2021 sc research but i am always big on this structure wise too. I am looking at who plays the intercepting and attacking HB roles at north with lachie Young and Flynn Perez around 190-210k. Will Hamill from the crows was starting to hit his straps last year before a nasty head knock. No reason why he isn't best 22 come round one and he is in my early draft team 🙂
North provide the best options.
Apart from danger and Sidebottom i don’t see a heap of value in the forward line.
Run your eyes over Marshall stats. When Ryder gets injured he is the main man.

Hello Everyone

My current team has $216,300 balance is this too much; what is the amount that should be kept?

My Suggestion is you need Oliver. Too much money in DEF and it has compromised the MIDS. Kelly is a sound pick but at M3 you need a 110+ MID and Kelly is not.

Rowell ?? Only four games....BUT WOW. Walsh will continue to improve. These lads have a outside chance of averaging 110+ for the season and will not look out of place as a M8 at years end.

And Im thinking the lad Tom Green will surprise a few this season.

if Ryder plays 20 games this year? What do you think Marshall will average? His been in and out of my team.
If Ryder plays 20 games this year I will walk to Burke and back barefoot.

Looking at the Saints Ruck department, not much in terms of backup.

Marshall is Definitely a top 6 FWD for the 2021 season. Assuming he stays fit.?

105+ Avg for the year.

Yes ...still looking for the one more break out in DEF.

Here is one from outside left field beyond the bleachers.......

DEF. James Harmes
Would a 95+ return be good enough for D6.

Played different roles for the club last year.? With the Demons back line looking more settled would this see JH return to midfield rotation.?

Wil be one of a few on preseason watch.

North Melb.
Very SC friendly playing style and is able to score at a premium level in a variety of roles. A constant reminder to temper expectations as some coaches seem to be very disappointed that he hasn’t managed a 105+ season average yet.

Since 2017:
I Heeney with L Franklin: 97.11 from 45 (11/45 below 80, 22/45 below 100, 10/45 120+)
I Heeney without L Franklin: 93.91 from 22 (9/22 below 80, 15/22 below 100, 3/22 120+)

Debuted in 2015
2015- PCL- https://www.afl.com.au/news/55577/swans-young-gun-hurt

RD1 2016 to RD6 2020: Played a possible 87 games from 94.
Missed 2 games in 2016- Omitted: https://www.afl.com.au/news/153272/cooked-swan-isaac-heeney-now-sizzling-ahead-of-finals
RD1-RD4 2017- Glandular Fever: https://www.afl.com.au/news/145660/star-swan-isaac-heeney-struck-down-with-glandular-fever
RD16 2018- Delayed Concussion in RD15 against Richmond: https://www.afl.com.au/news/112606/swans-lose-heeney-to-concussion
Looked into this further and seems he's less injury prone that I thought! I have counted just 4 injuries in 5 years since his first season (the 2020 ankle, broken thumb, pre-season ankle, pre-season knee). I don't count the concussion or glandular cause they're freak events.

So I'd probably say he's slightly more injury prone than Danger, Marshall, Sidebottom, Zorko, or Dusty, but pretty similar to Dunkley. Of course, he's also only just back running, which puts him at higher risk again. Given the uncertainty about many of the forward premiums, I wouldn't rule him out completely as someone priced 10 below his likely average.

I feel like the big guns Neale, Oliver, Steele and to a lesser extent Macrae (with Treloar coming in) are the only ones we can trust to go 115+!
Steele jumped 27 points this season in his first foray over 95, in no way, shape or form is he a shoe in for 115+ from where I’m sitting. If you want a guaranteed 115 I reckon the only really safe picks are Neale and Macrae.

Starting mids are a bit of a mess this year, lots of players feel like their prices have been inflated. I can’t remember another season where Ive struggled to pick 4 I’m confident in.

Macrae surely has big magnet shaped question marks all over him @BigRuss ?

He has been fairly immune so far, maybe he is non-magnetic? Treloar in now adds a ? though - Dogs have something like six of the top 30 averaging mids from last season now, good luck them all getting plenty of time on the ball.

Put Merrett down for a 115+ this year. 25 now about to break out in to that 115+ group IMO
