Update Estimated Prices after Round 15

Gawn 762,915
Neale 761,286
Oliver 691,239
Macrae 679,836
Grundy 667,347
Lloyd 664,632
Steele 659,202
Howe 655,315 (less discount)
Petracca 652,143
Goldstein 634,767
Of that lot Grundy picks himself first I reckon. Has not been rested at all this year and looks visibly worn with the load and condensed fixture, despite the shorter quarters. Have a rest over summer big guy, you and I have a 2021 to remember coming up :sneaky:

Certainly be interesting trying to balance it all out.

Macrae , Mitchell , Neale , Oliver , Petracca good lord.

I recall our discussion regarding Lloyd , I should probably start set n forget Rucks one year or that Grundy bloke might be delisted 😀 before I get the chance.

Whitfield in D , Sidey , Zorko , Marshall possibly as F , not a lot of $$$ left already.

Heeney a lock.

Paying for Sidey's 2nd best season ever so maybe better off as a upgrade.

Brown , Curnow , Daniher , Franklin , Patton as 5 starting forwards 🤔😢😀

JZ possibly ???

Not sure how much BBQ will get discounted , couple of others I am keen on.
Yes, I’m sort of already wavering on Lloyd if he averages 120. 110 I would now pay without thinking about it given how proven, durable and consistent he is ... if he’s priced at 120 then that could be $50k over due to short quarters/some other transitory factor. He’d be in the mix but not a lock.

Trac is an easy pass for me as well, same rationale as Oliver but dramatically less proven. Is durable but has only managed 80s before this year, and is just showing some signs of tailing off. I feel it would be hard for him to hurt me leaving him out if he’s priced at 120. I’d much prefer Mitchell for that price.

I’ve quite liked a more guns and rookies approach this year - it will probably give me a pretty good finishing rank (just broken in to top 3k and I traditionally rise towards the end, so I’m hoping for top 1k) and it definitely reduces stress, gives flexibility, makes the decision making easier and so on.

Increasingly my view is that there’s a reason so many top coaches use this approach.

Unsure what his price will be, but if Ryan Burton can get a decent crack at it with a preseason under his belt he might be worth a look.
The injury history is a massive concern, but if he could even just do a job across the first half of the year he could present fantastic value.
My count/recollection is he'll have 3 injury impacted scores in his average (40, 96, and whatever tonights score is <10).

Including last night's score I have him at approximately $ 322k then whether he gets a discount for only playing 6 games.

Guns and Rooks to start the season with 2-3 mid priced inj discounted players dpp a big tick to any def and fwd players. Jump on any rookies that you may have missed early on then as for trading I think always take the best available player or one who you think will av the most for the rest of the season not necessarily the one who just had a hot start. My main aim is that last point always target the bast possible player don’t grab one coz he’s 50k cheaper so you can afford another upgrade elsewhere better to wait the week and then upgrade to who you want versus who you can afford

I have been impressed by the improvement of Walsh at Carlton. Maybe he is under the radar this year as Cripps gets all the attention but is ave 116 in his last 5 games after starting the season slow. Third season next year. Price will determine if I go for him.

wow

that would make things interesting if Sidebottom , Marshall , Dunkley & Zorko all got forward status next season
Weird I didn't know he'd been fwd at all. I thought Dangerfield would have spent longer fwd but with Dunkley missing those weeks it probably has favoured the fwd % more.

Don't want him to be a forward and don't want him to score above 100 in the last few games... let's keep him away from the masses huh? :sneaky:
Hard to do these days with all the information out there.

Probably easier now just to wait for Round 1 teams to be announced , pick all the rookies named , then speed read for a day and pick a great starting team.

Had him last year as a rookie and made some good coin.
Definitely keeping an eye on his starting price for next year.

FHOF will be approximately $ 525 k next year.

That price worked for Tay Tay and Man Of this season.

Might go and start the ”Who are your locks“ thread for 2021 so I can post Rowan Marshall as R/F.

Is Danger close to Forward status as well ?

No notation against his name , just mid mid 🤔

Danger , Dunkley , Fyfe , Heeney , Sidebottom , Zorko (?) + Bench

Sidebottom becomes a lock if he gains forward status. Has averaged 100+ in 7 of the last 9 seasons.

Edit: on second thought he will be priced high early so likely an upgrade. Although I’m confident he’ll be in my side at some point in 2021
