If Dan Houston looks like getting a bit more time on the ball next year, he can go around again in my team.

Thoughts on what they will do with trades next year? It has been fun having lots of them but I personally hope its back to 30.

However wouldnt surprise me one bit if they up the number next year, or give bonus trades or something. Not from an actual game perspective, but I reckon (without being able to offer any evidence) that traffic would have increased with the extra trades meaning more clicks meaning more ad revenue. I dont play dreamteam but heard you get 2 every week or something like that?

Pretty sure the SC decision makers around the time of the fixture announcements and when they were deciding on what was the best way to handle it all from an SC perspective mentioned on twitter that they would be still trying to keep a limit on trades (as best they could given the current circumstances) to not take away from the original/normal SC that we know. I recall seeing some of this sort of commentary on twitter. So given that I suspect we will be back to the usual amount of trades next season should the season be back to what we know as normal by then.

Update Estimated Prices after Round 15

Gawn 762,915
Neale 761,286
Oliver 691,239
Macrae 679,836
Grundy 667,347
Lloyd 664,632
Steele 659,202
Howe 655,315 (less discount)
Petracca 652,143
Goldstein 634,767

I have actually lost my notes in how they calculate discounts , it was anywhere between 10 - 30% and dependent on games played and averages.

I am sure @Erich1036 has a more accurate approach when he produces his pre season player prices spreadsheet.

Got a new computer a few months back and it seems I stupidly didn't bring the discount sheet I made across with me :(

I thought I posted it here years ago but now can't find it.

Was on my old laptop which died last year and haven't replaced that yet either so would only be guessing.

I remember 1-3 games was different if you averaged above or below 40 (maybe) and then the discount was between 10 - 30%.

Early impression is id only start Gawn, Lloyd and one of Oliver/Macrae.

I am normally reluctant to pay $ 550k for a defender but I think you just have to pay up for Lloyd , he doesn't seem to have any down games at all to bring his price down significantly.

Obviously will depend on positions , pricing & rookie availability but hard to see starting any more than 4 of them leaving to a well balanced side.

Start looking for some value options as starting picks.

Media have them chasing Jack Graham as well , not sure about Luke Dunstan so be interesting how their mids look.

Suspect at least one Crouch goes , might need to move Sloane to W/HF , do they keep Laird in their , Keays will play run with.

Was watching Walsh closely tonight , was actually thinking I would prefer to start him over Cripps.

Can't see how you can balance out all 4 of Macrae , Mitchell , Neale & Oliver , something will need to give especially with Lloyd and a set n forget Ruck.

Treloar , Walsh/Cripps , if Rowell is 100% and discounted , Cunnington if fit and discounted......

Hately

Quick read of that Top 25 Draft article seemed to be less midfielders available than normal so be interesting to see where the rookies fall.
As bullish as I was on Oliver as a starting pick this year, I reckon he’s more of an upgrade target for me next year.

Priced at 128 at the moment and hasn’t performed at that level before, plus the quarters have been shortened so he may suffer somewhat as that is normalized. Will also probably be living in a non-hub environment (hopefully) and playing on different grounds.

To me these are the types of players that are more “wait and see” next year than potential starters, with his durability the main thing still working in his favour.

Certainly be interesting trying to balance it all out.

Macrae , Mitchell , Neale , Oliver , Petracca good lord.

I recall our discussion regarding Lloyd , I should probably start set n forget Rucks one year or that Grundy bloke might be delisted 😀 before I get the chance.

Whitfield in D , Sidey , Zorko , Marshall possibly as F , not a lot of $$$ left already.

Heeney a lock.

Paying for Sidey's 2nd best season ever so maybe better off as a upgrade.

Brown , Curnow , Daniher , Franklin , Patton as 5 starting forwards 🤔😢😀

JZ possibly ???

Not sure how much BBQ will get discounted , couple of others I am keen on.

Definite upgrade target. Haven’t looked at the numbers but I’d wager his ToG is up this year with shorter quarters - probably the big contributor to jump.
