Strategy 2022: Round 3 Trades

Almost tempted to not trade ....

Only option i can think of is:
Whitfield for Bowey
Ward for O'Driscoll
Hollands for L.Jackson

I really don't like trading out premiums like Whitfield. If he is out injured thats different.
O'Driscoll looked really good. Can see him getting a lot of games now.
Jackson has gone to another level.

Thoughts?

Why would you trade Blakey

Hewett priced 15 higher, seems likely enough to go 20 pts better over the journey and be around the mark in terms of top DEF
Blakey has been good and around where I thought / hoped he’d be, Hewett has considerably exceeded expectations.

I don't see why you would trade Ward when he found so much footy v Port/ low BE - just needs to tidy up his disposal especially for O'Driscoll who only came on as the sub in the last quarter. Yes he looked good, think he will play many games but he isn't on the bubble/ no need to jump the gun getting him in.

Thats right Courts and may not again.

However, he does have a 150 which even with 60's makes you 100k and with all likelihood should make $120k, maybe $150k.

If trading for someone who is going to lose money then it can make sense. It will depend on your views on why that person is underperforming.

The other way around: He needs to score 100 to make you 60K

watching AFL 360 tonight, Hardwick said they put a lot of work into negating Whitfield. Will everyone do that? After the way the Tigers went, probably. I have him, and at this stage I’m keeping him.

Berry to Cripps - 85% on this trade

I am convinced Pruess will be a good pick this year. Had to trade him to Hayes last week but keen to get him back in. Probably wont pull the trigger this week but if he is picked and scores 85 plus this week I am thinking of going balls out and trading him in for Grundy (if Grundy doesn't score over 120).

What def players under $260k are worth looking at?

So far i have found Foley, Answerth, Hinge and Gardner to be the only ones to be of value to look at but have no intel on any of them apart from Hinge.

Whats Foley and Answerths JS and PS looking like as they look from the surface to the be the safest?

Crisp, Short, Whitfield, Hewett, Bowey, McCartin (Gibcus, Hinge)

Forwards would be:
Dunkley, Butters, Cogs, Brodie, Xerri, Martin (De Koning, Rachele)

Other option would be Gov to Preuss via Hayes in the hope that Preuss can accumulate value.

I'm wondering also with the points that the GCS leaked to Bowey whether it may be worth holding Whitfield. I'm really trying to get him to Hall but it's not easy atm.

Have decided Witts is my man for Gawn and not trading in or out any players from Swans/Dogs, so can re-assess Friday what the exact changes are after that. $1000 short of Gov > Brayshaw, but would be able to get there with an Owens > Martin trade added too.

Would want to grab one of Bowey/Xerri (personally Bowey) and get Whitfield out too. Not sure I feel great about keeping 250K in the bank if I went Whitfield > Bowey instead of Owens > Martin, but need to get rid of that mindset if that's the better move long term.

Either way, definitely boosting this round! #TeamBoost

As a Geelong fan I'm not as confident as everyone else seems to be, we are already a tall side and Mark O'Connor will come in who also played down back on the weekend in the VFL, can't play all of them in the same side and the kid is generally the one who the hard call is made on, absolutely no idea why anyone is trading though feels very stupid to me.
