has there been any discussion on a potential Aus a game again this year?, or has world cup put that to bed for now

1st Test v South Africa is due to start December 17 , so if they were to have a red ball game v Australia A beforehand that would need to finish most likely on the 13th , so it may only affect the BBL games on the 13th & 14th.

I doubt South Africa will have a large enough squad to fit in a meaningful game between the tests.

Just a matter of how large a test squad Australia need this summer , suspect it will be 14-15 , total waste if a second keeper is running drinks all summer though.

For the DGR junkies, I think I have worked the likely unattainable goal out - 77 including boosts.

Rounds 1-5 = max 36, though you can get to 37, 38 or 39 if using 1, 2 or 3 boosts.
Rounds 6-9 = max 19, or 20 if you use one or more boosts.
Rounds 10-13 = max 19, or 20 if you use one or more boosts.

Need to start 8 Thunder players to get there!

Who do you think Thunder will use as their keeper, Gilkes or Holt or do they bring in another keeper?

Also looking at what Scorchers to have on the bench ready for round 2. Have Evans (think bats top 4) and Behrendorf (opening bowler). I have the line-up as follows -

Not sure how but I think Hardie has to start , more than likely for Kelly (tough to leave him out though) , Hatzoglou could also play.

At that price might only need to perform in the first game to justify starting him.

Had chronic hamstring issues then did a side strain at the start of the IPL and to my knowledge hasnt played since, Id be very surprised if hes playing back to back games personally, is a good chance he's one I take on even at the price to be honest.

I just saw Boult this morning, actually - the NZ team came through Brisbane Airport earlier. Looks in absolutely ripping nick. Obviously a watch over the World Cup but hard to imagine not starting him, especially when the other key Stars represent so much value.

Planning to bring in the higher priced Scorchers will be the difference between teams early.

I guess if people are looking at bringing in Bison , Agar , Tye & Jhye for Round 2 guys like Boult, Maxy & even RK19 will need to be traded out.

Stars with a DGR to start as well , so maybe we can just half his starting price 😉

Strikers batting line-up doesn't look inspiring without Carey & Head + Renshaw & Wells leaving.

Short, Lynn , CDG , Hose

Weatherald was ordinary last season

Kelly looked ok at times

Only others at this stage are Gibson & Hunt

2 spots on their list remaining , still no word on Siddle

Might be right , quite a few others on DGR around similar price range.

With Boult & Wood + Hatcher returning they might be able to "manage" him early on.

Couch was impressive last season as well.
