I think Wade could be best value for money in the keepers but only if he opens the batting? Talk is he may be used as a finisher with David and they'll open with Short/McDermott combination. If they do this I'll pass on Wade and look at a set and forget keeper with Philippe. Good luckđź‘Ť
With a bye relatively early think I'm happy to assess how hes used in the first few rounds, could absolutely explode though and reward those that start him.

I really like being able to carry Salt and Behrendorff and have had similar structures to this, would be very nervous taking Boult on though but I guess you're just punting that NCN plus the extra Scorcher in the bank ends up with you ahead in the long run.

Happy with 8 & 2 on the Bench

/ Nielsen

Maxwell * , Sams * , Hales , Stoinis *

Rashid Khan , Boult , Willey * , Zampa / Sutherland *

Availability of the Scorchers in Round 2 will determine everything else

Dont see how its anyone but Sangha or Roussow to be honest.
Most teams like to go with a Left/Right hand compo as the openers.

Hales you'd think is a lock to open who's a right-handed batsman, leaving only a few options left to pick to partner with him.

Rilee Rossouw, David Willey, Matthew Gilkes. (All left-handed batsman)

Can't see Willey opening they would like to use him as the Cutting type of finisher role slotting in just after Sams at 6/7.

IMO I think they would like to use Rossouw as no.3 but they also have Sangha who played that role well last year.

I think they go with
Hales
Gilkes
Rossouw
Sangha
Davis
Sams
Willey

After how good Sangha was last year I can’t see them moving him from three. I think Rossouw plays 4. However, maybe it could be dependent on who gets out first to keep the left/right combo.

Some of you would have already seen this, for those who haven't I am putting together a combined SCS team this year using the most popular options for all selections. The more opinions we can get for this, the better it will be. You can check it out here:

Not going to spam this any further, just thought it was worth mentioning at least once to those who may only be checking in on this topic.

Looking at registering my team soon.

Just checking, is the fixture analysis at post 4 still accurate and do we expect further changes prior to season commencing?

will never know , if you don't ask.

email sent

Can you advise when Mac Wright (Hobart Hurricanes) , Ben Cutting (Sydney Thunder) & Corey Rocchiccioli (Melbourne Renegades} will be added.

Also was wondering why Matt Short (Adelaide Strikers) is listed as Bat only, took 8 wickets in BBL 11, will he be reclassified to Bat/Bowl before the competition starts ?

Also Phil Salt (Perth Scorchers) recently kept in 7 x T20I for England v Pakistan, will he be reclassified as Bat/WK before the competition starts ?
