2/187 Johnson (3SI @ 62.33)

Made a scrambled decision in my lunch break to completely fade the Thunder. Could look like an absolute fool if their next game goes ahead but we’ll see how it goes.

Meant I brought in Johnson over my original target Ferguson. Both would’ve been good ins but Johnson isn’t a forced trade next week, really would’ve liked to own Ferg though, love him as a cricketer.

After the game had started and I actually had a chance to analyse the teams, DC looked like he was going to be a pretty decent option being the 5th bowler. Don’t think I would’ve done it myself as I wanted to keep a trade spare but well done if you did!

Looped Agar as well, if the Thunder game doesn’t go ahead he’ll come on for Jordan as cover.

Welcome aboard.
That's a good enough start, and not having Warner is countered by having both Ferg and Johnson.
Just my 2 cents, I think waiting for Green's second score (if there is one), then if disatisfied plonking for Stoinis is possibly worth considering.
Yeah thankyou,
I do believe it's pretty nice as well, and agreed on the fact that Johnson and Ferg probably covered the loss of Warner (assuming the game vs Hobart doesn't go ahead at least), with that though still would've been nice to have him in. But the weather put me off from having anymore than 3 Thunder players (I had Wes already, traded into Green and Ferg this week)

I'll probably make my call on the C/VC at like 7 tomorrow (no doubt get it wrong) but I'm not too fond of the Stoinis punt. Assuming Curran, Webster and even Boland play (idk if Webster or Scotty will but they're best XI, so if they're avalibale they'll play) , I'd imagine 4 overs go to; Siddle, Paris, Mir, Curran and Boland. And the big part with Stoin is weather he bowls, so including Maxi and Webster, to getting potential overs, I'm just not sure if he does.
Stars XI Lineup vs Sixers as; (My prediction)
1: Duckett (WK)
2: Rogers
3: Stoinis (C)
4: Webster
5: Maxwell
6: Cartwright
7: Curran
8: Mir
9: Paris
10: Siddle
11: Boland

However to play my own devils advocate...
What if Perth name a lineup of; Allan (WK) - Marsh - Connolly - Hardie - Turner (C) - Hobson - Agar - Richo - Tye - Dorff - Morris
You'd assume Richo, Dorff, Tye and Morris all bowl out, right..? And well you've brought in Agar to bowl his overs too.. right? Leaves none for Connolly unless one of the quicks get some tap. Even then, I doubt we see Dorff or Richo bowl 3 overs. But also... Marsh, Hardie and Turner could all bowl. Didn't Voges say that Hardie wasn't too far away from bowling? So yeah Idrk. Fortunately (or not) I have a day to think about it

Yes I know I rambled a bit... but just my thought process currently

I don’t think Duckett is able to keep, he’s had a thumb issue for a while so I think Harper, excuse the pun keeps his spot.

1/132 - Agar

The success of my decisions this round will be judged differently depending how things unfold from here.

Went into the game with 4 Thunder players but set up 3 as a loop (Bilings, Green and Christian). Part of the thinking was the weather for their 2nd game, but also wanted to keep a trade up my sleeve so I could pivot depending how things went in game 1.

I’ve already taken Christian and not taken Green. Billings vs Harper is one to weigh up but I’ll probably take Billings (have to lock it in prior to the thunder game 2 starting).

If Thunder vs Canes is a wash out I could use my last trade on Doggett so I can bench Chaudry. Or I could use it before then and open up options from Perth and Renegades.

So lots to ponder today. Biggest headache.. who will my C be thanks to the Agar flop…

There's not a lot of consistency at the Stars, but seems to me that Lawrence has been taking Macy's overs and Webster will take any of Stoinis' overs.

Hardie still seems to be struggling with injury (had something flare up last game) so assuming he makes the XI, might be just as a bat only.

I'd probably consider the likes of Marsh, Hardie and Connolly as bat only, with any overs bowled a bonus.

And that's the problem with the Stars, they've got no consistency. That's also the impression I'm under as well, when Maxi and Beau get back that'd 2 each (or so, there'd be games where they'd get 1 or maybe even 3-4). But then as well adding Curran in, makes the have 5 up front bowlers (assuming Scotty B plays).

Agreed with Hardie, did grab at his side, though I believe Scorches have said it was "Abdominal Awareness", but I'll have a look at Scorches 11 at the toss, if Agar isn't named due to his injury, I'm probably just going to C Connolly and hope he get's overs.

Last time Bison played Big Bash was BBL 11

Batted 3 in every game , Hardie had to wait for his opportunity

347 runs @ 57.83 + 5 wickets

Actual cricket scores :-

100* , 21 , 86 , 42 , 6 , 59 , 28 , 5

Wish I had saved a boost now , might have a point to prove tonight

Traded Rogers (MR) last night so am going to be short on personnel.

Realised this morning once I swapped Green to Christian , I probably could've kept Rogers and could have traded Renshaw instead so will see how that pans out tonight and future rounds

Tonight :-

MR = Sutherland , Zampa (E)
PS = Turner

Agar was poor last night with inaccurate bowling. He seems good or very bad(n)
Green's first 3 overs were good, but he got spanked in his last over
DC was amazing. It just goes to show what you can do if you look after yourself and still have the desire to play.(y)
Warner looked like a man on a mission and played well(y)
Billings - why. why did I pick him(n)

The weather forecast for tomorrow's game at Engie Stadium looks less likely to happen
We've had 10mm of rain overnight with possibly 30mm to come today,
And a further 10-20mm mainly overnight.
Rain tailing off during the afternoon, still a 40% chance of rain at match time
I hope Engie Stadiums drainage works well.
