Westhoff anyone? I won’t be starting Buddy this year and generally like to start a rollercoaster ride who has me pulling out my hair and Hoff seems to fit the bill.

Seems to score well when he has 20+ possies and should be able to add some intercepting/rebounding pts to his arsenal as well.

I don't subscribe to the notion of a never again list and might contemplate the Hoff for a potential bench spot in the latter half of the season but still disappointed missing out on those 800-900 extra points from Dunkley after RD8.

More appealing options around the same price range include T Lynch (Richmond), D Smith, J Steven, A Brayshaw, C Wingard, R Gray, H Greenwood, J Dawson, J Ceglar, T McDonald, etc.

I don’t think I’ve owned him over the years so probably don’t have the same history that others might with him.

Of that list I don’t mind TJL, Dev, Chad, Greenwood, Dawson who have been in and out of my team. I suppose Gray should always be considered as well, especially with Wines out and SPP seemingly out of the midfield rotation.

I agree with this - at a minimum I think the “never again” list has to be price dependent (if Westhoff was $127k surely we would be all over him) ...

BUT

... he was terrible last year. Started with 5 goals and 147, and I was feeling great ...

then followed it up with 47, 39 and 49.

I find his new role interesting, but role was one of the key issues for his scoring last year, and I don’t really trust Hinkley to play him in one role consistently.

Yeah I'm looking again, he needs a role and I think he'll score well in the hole.

wow none of the Big 3, although technically Heeney is 5th :)

Personally I think you can only start 2 of Brayshaw/Steven/Smith but if you have one of Whit/Dusty/Heeney in your mids then go for it (seems too many options as to who will be Top 10 mids by seasons end, doubt too many end up with 8 of them anyway)

Heeney averaged 92 points per 100 mins as a midfielder and 91 points per 100 mins as a forward according to the prospectus. His side only won a clearance in 39% of the centre bounces he attended - second lowest of the top 10 attendees at the club. This explains why he averaged 95.6 without Buddy and 92 with Buddy.

This makes me wonder what kind of player Heeney actually is and whether he can ever be a gun inside midfielder or if he has much of a ceiling. He might just be a solid SC player and a very good half-forward rather than an elite SC scorer going forward.

He'll still likely be a top 6 forward this year but he's probably unlikely to hurt you if you don't start him.

I think he’s a far better forward then midfielder.

‪Anyone considering a Bruyn Manoeuvre and if so, who’s the best candidate?‬

‪Looking back, Cloke’s starting price was $436k, averaged 133 over the first 6 weeks and was then sold for $575k as the masses jumped on. He then went onto score 36 and average 81 his next 6!‬

Thinking TJL, Roo, JJK..anyone else?
