I think I've confused everyone - The only 2 Smith's I'm going near are Devon Smith and Brodie Smith :ROFLMAO:

I've got no idea how I got here?
Including Eggmolesse , Horlin , Nai & Ralph we have 14 Smith's to choose from ?

Was away over the weekend, so skimming through my recorded games... Does Jack Steven look super chunky or is it just the Cats' preseason shirt playing tricks on my eyes? His numbers look good, he showed some dash and solid fitness for his first hitout, but his apparent physique has me wondering whether his price is too good to be true

He always looks chunky, makes Dane Swan look like a ballerina

Jy Simpkin anyone?

Quick glance at his stats last year suggests when used at the stoppages that he scores 90+

JLT 1 he split his bounces between wing & centre, with JLT 2 being involved more at the centre bounce.

Solid contested possession numbers both matches if room to move possession wise.

He'd be starting M5 for me with a view to swing him forward at some stage.

I'm not really inclined to gamble on a McGrath type either as I've got McLuggage at M4.

Anyone keen on Darcy Fort at $260k if Stanley is not named? He looked like a very capable scoring option when played as sole ruck in the first half of their last marsh game. It's a shame he's not a R/F.

Massive tease because he should be a great cash cow as the main ruckmen, maybe even a keeper as a mature ager. Big numbers at the next level down, SANFL I think. Not a safe play but I would probably take the punt. There are some great precedences for breakout ruckmen in the forward line. Stef Martin, Max Gawn, Rowan Marshall.

Is there any chance of going really well with out picking mid pricers like Steven and smith f3/f4 as they might not be top 6 fwds so many options

Just do the reverse to most

Whitfield , Martin + 6 rookies and wait for which midpricers are must haves.

Brander + the forward rookies might actually have better JS than the mid rookies even if they do score 40-60

Allows you to load up in defence of Starcevich , Williamson , Brander (again) , Watson , Goddard Williams are all not selected.

eg I am currently playing around with Whitfield & Lynch , which allows me to start both Laird & Sicily (with Docherty) and pushes Rowell to M8 with a realistic mid bench

But there’s properly not 6 good enough fwd rookies to pick from just saying .

2 for your bench like everyone else
2 with F/M status
1 with D/F status

DPP opens up options for corrective trades in Round 3 as well if required

gives you a clue who should be M6 & M7

just a option if the mid rookies don't appear

follow the rookies they say and build your team from their

The lack of solid rookies makes it difficult. Curtis Taylor looks like the only one worth playing on the ground. You would then be picking 5 fully priced forwards on a line that is very difficult to predict. It has been done in the past but tough to get right.
