Thanks for this, good reading!

Random question - Why doesn't he tackle?? Has had a grand total of 8 tackles in 8 games since getting that mid role in round 21 (including finals and JLT). Seems to rely on lots of disposals and marks to score well which turns me off him a bit.
Never really noticed it until you mentioned it to be honest. But looking at the stats, the tackle count isn't high is it. He's too busy finding the pill to worry about tackling, lol

Menegola - Downhill skiier, upgrade target.
Devon - Bicep + looks like his game was suited to more congestion. Happy to wait and see
Gray - Interrupted pre season, happy to wait
Mundy - Upgrade Target
Kelly - 2nd year player and gone in 2020, I dont like it.
Dunkley - Role uncertainty, too much risk for my liking.
Mclean - Hope he moves club, the best of the lot is wasted out position.
Wallis - Thought he'd be more forward, looks okay but role uncertain
Boak - Don't mind but lowish ceiling
Walters - Injury magnet
Lycett - I don't think I've looked at this enough, doing a bit more research.
Billings - Downhill skiier but dirt cheap and Saints have the 3rd easier draw. First 4 rounds especially, but tough 5 week block after.
Higgins - Breakout potential is there, kicks goals and great in the midfield. Don't mind for his price but not sure he wins enough ball with all that forward time. Richmond draw is difficult too.

I'm thinking one of Billings/Lycett. Think Freako had some stats on him having a really good HTA %. Decided to go big in the mids and go cheap up forward/back since I don't know who to pick.

The good HTA was only in the 2 JLT mtaches.

In the past 4 seasons Lycett has recorded 949 hitouts with only 237 going to advantage for a HTA% of 24.97.

2nd year blues less of a worry when he’s turning 25 in July. Not far off his prime and if he developes a bit more consistency has more upside than anyone in the whole 350-550k bracket imo.

Yeah it sucks

Think you’re selling Tim Kelly a bit short, he has the motivation to earn a big payday for his 3 kids and he said “West Coast only” so if he was seriously home sick he would have been willing to go to Freo. It’s a risk but with the lack of forward choices he’s the standout for me. Freako tweeted he spent 55 % of time in the middle last year and that number looks set to rise. He’s inconsistent but has a big scoring ceiling.

Anyone selecting Kelly worried about Geelong’s super tough fixture to start with?

Collingwood (away)
Melbourne (home)
Adelaide (away)
GWS (home)
Hawthorn (away)
West Coast (home)
Essendon (etihad)

Edit: averaged 91 in 9 losses last year and 94.69 in 13 wins.

Averaged 94.3 at Kardania Park and 92.38 away from Kardania.

So at least even if his scores are up and down his home, away, win, lose factors don’t seem to matter.

Is anyone going Danger, Westhoff, Heeney for F1 F2 F3, with Grundy, Gawn and Bines in the ruck?

F3 is a pain in the butt for me. I can go Gray instead of Westy, but no one else is standing out as a sure top 6 forward. The Hoff may not be top 6 in the end but does provide ruck cover from the start and he is durable (up to this point). If Lynch and Greene were fit they would be my F3 F4 but that seems too risky even if they both get up for R1.

Possibly, that's my current set up

Westhoff R2 with Gawn.

Will switch him forward when I get Grundy.

Did you rate last season as the new norm and/or finally reaching his potential, or that it was a spike season?

All this Worpel talk, at that price range I prefer Newnes
I had Newnes sitting in my team for about 10 days. I ended up downgrading him to a Rookie, so I could Prem up somewhere else, but I reckon he's not a bad spec pick, as long as you can't reach another Prem, by taking him down to a Rookie.

hopefully reaching potential and if Hawkins(although different type of forward) can be 2nd? highest average forward why can't darling do it this year in which 6-6-6 suits him perfectly

I like this pick, could burn as a selection but possibly 20 points under priced, has knee surgery last year as well I think.
