So do we think this will significantly boost scores for players who have a large impact on the result? Goalkicking midfielders like Danger and forward/mids like Greene could really benefit.
Good question. Does anyone understand how scaling actually works?

It will suit a specific type of player - the player that already scores well. The points awarding system hasn't changed. The only difference is that if they're only playing 75% of the game, then the scores at 75% are extrapolated out to 100%.

It rewards players who are doing well, pure and simple.

Just imagine seeing the table of players' SC scores at 3 quarter time, and then adding a third (put in the most simple terms, scaling notwithstanding).

That makes sense. A lot of us have probably been overthinking it and a simple/common sense approach will be the most successful

Time to load up on Carlton and Richmond players?!
Might not be the worst thing to do , just compared to last week things have advanced so quickly.

With European cities/countries locked down , the US heading the same way , I can't see how we won't follow , maybe not this weekend but certainly by the end of the month.

So we might get Round 1 and perhaps the start of Round 2

I guess all we can do is just wait and see what eventuates.

I can imagine that there may be tipping comps out there this year that aren't being run. Any devoted tipster out there who is without a comp (or is up for another) is welcome to join my privately run comp that is about to commence it's 19 year.

Note however it is a little different from normal comps in that it is margin based. Each round you need to pick a winner and a margin for each game and points are awarded based on how accurate those tips are. Lowest score wins.

It is $20 to join and tips and results all occur in Excel via email. I don't intend to publish results on this site.

If you are interested then send me a PM with an email address and I will forward through full details.

Given how vast Australia is , wouldn't stopping the majority of domestic flights actually lessen the risk of the virus being spread from city to city , city to town ?

Didn't China or South Korea completely isolate 2/3 provinces ?
PSA: Victorians, please continue with your regular daily routine and stop going to work.

Anyone heard anything or have any ideas about whether they are keeping the 3300 points per game? Could be a lot of scaling. And a massive impact on prices if not. Magic number also becomes interesting.
Believe the pie remains 3300 points.

Ok,with game confirmed time to actually visit Supercoach site, create an an account and pick some players.

Do we still have 30 trades with only 17 AFL rounds and any major difference in any rules I should know when selecting my 30 player squad ?

I think dream team has gone down to 22 trades for 17 rounds so is sc going to follow suit Im not 100 percent sure .
  • Trades will be reduced to 22 for the season. We appreciate that you choose to play AFL Dream Team for the added challenge and strategy elements that limited trades bring to the table. As such, we are adjusting accordingly for the reduced season.
  • Bonus trades may become available. With the uncertainty around the season and upcoming fixtures, we may add additional bonus trades and trade periods - if, for example - there is an extended break at any point and mini-drafts take place to top up lists; matches are being played in greater frequency; or there are instances where teams play mid-week, resulting in teams playing twice in a single round. We will remain agile and adapt to changing conditions, and provide you ample heads-up if any changes are coming up. The 2020 rule book is yet to be completed.
