Has anybody heard how 18 team leagues will work this year?

Given there will only be 13 home and away rounds you can’t play everybody unless you double up some weeks.

I assumed matchups would start from round 1 but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Adelaide v Sydney at Adelaide Oval: 4.35pm ACDT (was 4.05pm)
Sunday, March 22
North Melbourne v St Kilda at Marvel Stadium:

Didn't realise until know that Collingwood play Richmond in Round 2 and Carlton play the Western Bulldogs.

Maybe they will play Coll v Rich on the Wednesday & move the Carl v WB to Thursday to try and "gain" a day or so.

RAIN, hail or shine, the roof will be open at Marvel Stadium.

Due to the coronavirus, the AFL will ensure the roof is open at all times in the interim to abide by new regulations set by the federal government.

There are now limits on gatherings of 100 people at non-essential indoor gatherings, but the number is 500 people for non-essential outdoor gatherings.

Following that, there's been several alterations to the start times for round one games.

I have watched 3 whole games now and bits of the others and I am enjoying it as much as always. Sure I would like to see the crowds and the atmosphere it brings however the absence of crowds has been fascinating for the insight it provides about what the game at the elite level actually sounds like. The goal accuracy this round is also very interesting and it will be interesting to see whether that is a pattern or a one off.

Assuming the 3 games get completed tomorrow I would rate this round a massive success and I hope it keeps going. How flat would we all be if there was no footy this weekend.

apparently Richmond & Collingwood are happy to play Wednesday night , but the AFL said it is too hard to re-arrange things at short notice ?

Home & Away , MKR or what do they actually need to rearrange with no fans ?
