So what you are saying Rowsus is that they have done their job very poorly?
Correct.
They are basically saying "We'll put this market up, at ridiculous odds, and any bets we get are a bonus".

I put a 5 leg multi bet on at the start of the year, for the highest ave player at there club. Zorko, bont, trelor, rocky and cripps. Put $60 for 88k return. The same bet is paying 20k now. I’m really liking the bet. Would love some feed back on it...

How was that paying so much?

I’d be stoked if I had that bet pending. Would have them all as favourites with Beams and Pendles the biggest threats.

If they were all individually at around $4.30 odds, then that's possible.

Zorko-$2.50
Cripps-$4.50
Trelor-$11
Rocky-$5.50
Bont-$2.15
I put $30 on and I received $30 bonus through tab bet so I put that on as well. It’s paying $87,800

Clubs will list four emergencies each week this season when submitting their team line-ups, allowing for more options in their group of reserve players.

In another change under the AFL's new football operations manager Steve Hocking, the League has outlined to clubs they will need to list four emergencies – up from three – for every game.

An AFL spokesperson confirmed the introduction of the extra player means clubs should not have to pick a player from outside the named group of emergencies, which had happened at times in the past when there was a limit of three emergencies.

The League sent a memo to clubs last month detailing the change, plus other rule tweaks for the season.

Included was the abolition of the pre-game warm-up. Aside from just prior to the first bounce, clubs will no longer be able to warm up as a team on the ground before a game.

It is in a bid for the League to host more curtain raisers and pre-game activities at venues.

The change will impact clubs differently, with each team having slightly different pre-game preparations in previous seasons.

Some had chosen to have a lengthy warm-up well before the game, while other teams had done theirs closer to the bounce then returned to the rooms briefly before coming out to start the game.

No pre game warm up on the ground is interesting. I’m tipping the forwards won’t be especially happy to read that not being able to practice their kicking at goal.

I believe it's just the first warm up is gone, they should still be able to warm up in the 2nd one (aka kick at goals)

Still, not great imo... Would prefer warm ups over pre-game junkets

Seems rediculous.

Teams and players get picked to death over every aspect of there performance, let them prepare however they want.

Interesting story from Terry Wallace a few weeks back when this news broke. Doggies started the early on ground warm ups, Wallace told the AFL if they couldn’t do it on the ground they’d do it outside the ground.

I think going forward this will be the AFLs effort to get people to watch the Women's league, get the family's through the gate early and watch a double header of sorts.

To be fair it's about the only way they can get people to watch it IMO.

Exactly. Beams will probably have an injury game at some point, so that could help.

Not sure I would agree with any of those individual odds, Cripps and Rocky especially.

They are allowed out 11mins before game starts but must stop kicking for goal I think at the 3 min mark. still allowed to warm up in last 3 mins, just not goal kicking.

LOL - this is spot on. I reckon this is literally about 50% of his commentary. Surprised that Dwayne Russell is arguing for this ... what would his value add be then?
The value add would be to sell more guernseys surely...

probably a hypothetical

what if Danger's back injury is worse than they are letting on and he is a late out in Round 1?

do we keep him or move him on ?

Roll the dice and move him on and hope that one week turns into four I reckon, $750k is too much to risk having sitting in the bench.
