Interesting stats above Herbie and Oz. Arguably the Suns should have more players remaining, because they had such a young list at the time, so relatively few would be too old to still be playing by now.

Any local melbournians have some advice for a couple good watering holes around the city? Heading over for a Bucks show this weekend. Bout 8 of us, couple smokers so a good beer gardens be a good plus. Don’t mind chasing happy hours if anyone has a nice drinking route.

Should probably add we’re late 20s and Staying on Kings Way.

What are the Pies doing wrong to have membership numbers decline, against an overall average of +11%, when we are finals-bound for the first time in years?!
I think there is a lag, relative to on-field performance. Our performances the previous 3 years has been on a downward trajectory and we lost the first 2 games if people were considering jumping on board. Expect it will pick up again next season.
Also, I believe that there may have been a change at the club with respect to the head of Membership Services. Not sure they had as effective a drive for memberships this season.

Yeah right, I’ll make sure to check it out.

Each night.

For 6 hours.....
You can give the Waterside a try on Flinders St down that end of town. Rooftop for your smoking mates if the weather permits. Burger and Pot on Game Day deal for a $20 too. Just around the corner from King St if you have a few hours to kill later too.

Not sure how many watch The FB, footy show, but as far as footy shows go, its probably the only one I watch these days, turned it on last nght and saw that Jobe Watson was on.

As a someone who loves AFL, it was great to see him on last night and given the hell he has been through over the last couple of years it was awesome to see that he had come out the otherside OK. He seemed to be very settled and contented (or as settled and contented as he could be) and very much looking forward to the rest of his life after football, expecting his first child and seting up businesses. As expected he seemed to be still pretty jadded about football which is a shame, he was not necessarily the most gifted footballer, but through hard work and determination he got the best out of himself. It was very enjoyable to watch.

But as a Dees, man the highlight of course was seeing Allen Jakovich having pretty much not heard anything about him since he retied. It was great to see the vision of him terrorising fullbacks back in his day, in particular the day against Nth Melb when he kicked 11 goals 8 against Micky Martin. He on the otherhand was a ver naturally gifted footballer and from a Melbourne supporters point of view it was a shame he only played 47games for the Dees given he averaged just over 4 goals a game.

In last week's match between North Melbourne and the Bulldogs, 3 Bulldogs players registered 40 possessions or more. I don't believe this feat has ever been achieved previously from the same team...?

The great mare WINX returns to the track today at Randwick in the aptly named Winx Stakes (3pm) as she tries to surpass Black Caviar's record of 25 consecutive wins. Be sure to be around to witness what could be an incredible achievement in only her 4th season of racing.

***She's at very short odds as she has been right throughout her streak, however Ladbrokes has a special going where you can get 2-1 for her to win ($20 max bet).

Hard to believe that you can’t see the finals match-ups in game day of the app unless you are participating.

I'm using the Android app and I can see all Finals matchups. Are you seeing anything when you enter game day or just a blank screen...?

Just my own team playing against nobody. I use an iPad and an iPhone.

The button up the top right that allows you to select other league games is not there.

He must be on their payroll or something along those lines because he was the highest ranked coach from the Supercoaches Box group, who do weekly podcasts for the hun.
That makes sense although it could have been open to the public? Anyone know how many were in that group?
