Not sure why a Carlton fan is worried about it, unlikely to affect them. :p
:mad::LOL:

It has always been the case that there's a lot of tickets going to corporates etc. Not much you can do about it, and it won't change.
Yep. The statement is also not quite accurate that only 34,000 of the tickets go to fans of the participating clubs. I'm an MCC member but not a Carlton member, definitely a big Carlton fan though!

100% agree.

15.5k for corporate/contractual obligations. Maybe drop that to 10% but it doesn't really shift the needle.

41.5k for MCC/AFL members. Over 40% reserved for them? Split that between the two competing clubs and let them take any that the clubs don't take up.

But nah, we know they'll never touch the elephant in the room that means the MCG will continue to be an away game for any non-Victorian team.

Afl members are not all non committed.
I am an afl club support member of Carlton.
A full portion of my membership goes to the club and if playing in the gf members with club support of the competing clubs get first rights to the afl membership tickets.

That's exactly what I was referring to - those 41.5k tickets will be overwhelmingly barracking for the local team.

All teams have club support members.
But yes, I take your point that there are more say Carlton club support members than any non Victorian teams.
A large part of the reason I became an afl member was the better access to finals tickets.
I just want the chance to take advantage of the lengthy investment.
