What idiot wrote that! There are a defined number of possibilities, which get whittled down significantly with the marque games, venues, sold games, etc.
Technically yes, but that defined number of possibilities is massive - something on the order of 1,000,000,000,000,000 options (based off similar calculations for the NFL, which has fewer games and fewer timeslots to fill in a given week). That's close to the number of grains of sand in the world.

I've just had a silly thought, so of course I have to post it.
What if there was no uniform in AFL. How many mistakes would players make? Could it be a way for recruiters to get a better understanding of a players football IQ?

WB vs Haw vs TISM?
Could catch the first half and then watch TISM.
AFL obviously don't understand the conundrum.
What conundrum? ;)

No benefit received fron watching a meaningless match on the antiquated notion that consuming as much as possible will have a positive or any bearing on fantasy performance.

TISM all the way!

My keeper league team would be in all sorts, half of them have changed over since last year!

Apologies but I have to defend the nerds amongst us (you know who you are). I have extensive fixturing experience, the perfect score scenarios I post are actually a bi-product of the knowledge I gained doing this. Even with those constraints you mention the number of combinations is massive and trying to find the one the best suits the requirements is a highly complex task.

The impression I get from the video is that they create all the the different combinations and then analyse them against the requirements. I have tried that sort of approach and it is generally impracticable because it would take years to even generate all the combinations using the normal sort of computer power I have access to. They must have some type of next gen super computer if they are doing that. They don’t mention it directly but I suspect they are actually using linear programming to develop the optimum solutions which could be described as “analysing all combinations”.

I found it interesting and would actually be very interested in learning more.

Haha. I've got a Maths degree and was timetabler in 3 different schools. I'm well aware of the process, permutations and complexities. I'm a card carrying member of the nerd club.
