Congrats to SCS Best Of The Best who are the top league with one round to go! The name definitely doesn’t lie!

Port Adelaide finished the year with 41 more inside 50’s than anyone else in the competition.

....and were 9th in the comp for goals.

Only Melbourne had a worse conversion rate of goals to inside 50’s.

Boomers get over the Canadians 108-92 after surrendering 12 point half time lead to trail by 6 in the 3rd quarter. Steadied late in the 3rd and went away with it in the last to record a comfortable victory. Dellavedova outstanding with 24 points and solid contributions from many others.

Boomers beat Senegal by 13 in a lacklustre display. Quite a tense affair with the game remaining too close for too long. For me it brought back memories of an infamous loss to Angola about 40 years ago. Mills 22 top scored but Joe Ingles was the best with 17 points and some big plays late. We will want to play better than that against Lithuania or we will get pumped.

Outstanding first half by the Boomers to take 11 point lead into half time. Dried up late in the 3rd and early in the 4th to trail by 3. Found a way to claw their way back and take a big victory and top their group.

Good to win but we where not at our best today. Really need France to beat Lithuania tonight to guarantee us top 8.

Boomers beat Dominican Republic 82-76. Unfortunately only playing as well as they need to beat the opposition which makes for tense watching. Not the most convincing performance but were good in the last quarter when it counted.

They now need France to beat Lithuania otherwise they will face a must win v France due to a poor percentage.

Yes it does mean that. The game against France will now only affect our quarterfinal opponent. In theory a win should leave us with an easier match up but in reality there is negligible difference in the quality of the top 8. It is actually good to see a close game between France and Lithuania because it means France are beatable.

Assuming USA beat Brazil which is likely based on other results.

If we lose to France we will play USA.

If we beat France we will play the winner of the Greece v Czech Republic game.

Don’t want to be indecent or anything but there’s a big chance from looking at the photos, evidence of no brake or skid marks and his history of depression that it was suicide.

Absolutely horrible news either way, he was a legend on tv and away from it.
