Hey Rowsus

Is it worth going Walker to Hurn and $100 k or so, in order to avoid a donut?

Website says one week, but speculation it could be long term. (Knew he was a mistake.)

Hi Row,

Who would you start out of Hallahan and Langdon this week?

Im leaning towards Hallahan. While the Hawks still have players out he is getting decent game time in the middle and should be able to get some good numbers against GWS. If the Hawks are up plenty they could sub a Hodge type and let the kids play. Or am i just being biased?

Another question for you mate :)

Thoughts on Tex walker ? Is he a viable F6 ? Im actually looking at him for F7 but if the Sc gods throw up a few nasties he may have to be F6 . Or would i be better going shenton
He's a viable but not great F7, I wouldn't want him as F6. His biggest problem is, that Adelaide have lots of late games, and it would be better if he was the front end of the loophole, and not the back.

Simple question this time around Row :)
While everyone is jumping on board, looks like I will be missing out on Shenton.
His DPP and good job security makes him a really tasty prospect but I can't see myself trading in Shenton over Barlow this round.
Can I afford to miss him?

Looking at my team, I have 11 trades left and more than $380,000 left in the kitty.
If Barlow comes in this week, I only need 1 more FWD upgrade (Parker), one more MID upgrade (Stevie J) and 2 more DEF upgrades (Swallow & XXX).
Players like Suckling and Tyson should hold their spot, will be last to go and shouldn't cost me too much to upgrade.
You reckon I can give Shenton a miss?

It's either Polec > Barlow or Lloyd > Shenton and playing Polec on ground then do a double upgrade next week.
SC Gold say that Barlow should drop more in price than Polec this week, so grab Shenton, and do the double-up next week!

Rowsus,

I have 3 upgrades to make (D6, M8 and F6) but I keep on thinking about Lobbe.

With Renouf and Redden both gone for the year Lobbe has no risk of being rested unless he picks up an inj.

Given this why is it that I keep on looking at Goldy and thinking about an almost direct swap in a week or two?

Do you think Lobbe or Goldy will pick up their points this year and should I forget about a sideways trade? (13 trades left.)

CC
CC,

I think Goldy is a chance to turn around things around, particularly with North's draw, but I wouldn't swap until I saw some signs from Goldy he is back on track.
Good luck :)

I think Birchall will score as well, or even better than Hurn, and is less likely to miss games from here. You would still take Hurn if dollars are a concern, and if you can see you can use that little bit extra next week, otherwise I'd take Birchall. I'd probably use Sutcliffe if you can, as Langdon is more likely to score higher of the two, and their B/E's are about the same.
Good luck :)

Hey Zimmer
I do think that Walker had a big spike last season, that is unlikely to be repeated.
Get Hurn if the extra dollars help, or get Birchall, for better points and Peace of mind. I think Birchall is the best Def priced under Walker right now.

Hi Mike,
I agree with you, go Hallahan. It's the type of game they might let a few youngsters run free in the middle, in the second half, if they're 10 goals up.
Good luck :)

Hi mate,

With Langford now out it looks like I'll cop a donut if I do my planned trades.

Lloyd ---> Shenton
Langdon ---> Fyfe

I am looking to get Hanley and Riewoldt in within the next couple of weeks, and considering Fyfe has a BE of 113 would I be better going Langdon to Hanley, then next week Langford to Fyfe hopefully, but I think that would also require another downgrade somewhere. And resulting in holding off on Riewoldt for another reek or two which might not be great.

if i use 2 trades this week im down to 11.

so baring that in mind is saving 100k on getting wingard instead of boomer or gray worth the 20 points less. EG I'd have $300k insead of $200k spare. It meand I can turn Taylor inot a M8 in possibly one trade. At 200k I'd have to use 2.

Im so stuck lmao. Boomer low b/e doing my head in. I dont want to pay overs for him in a few weeks (if i upgrade higgins)

Basically I want you to say "Zim trade _____ in or i wont be friends anymore" lmao

Hi Rowsus

Carnage this round so I really need some advice. I am literally on my knees begging!!:p

I have traded Lloyd to Shenton which leaves me with $143K and 13 trades. I was originally going to trade Polec to Watson leaving around $50K to put towards a Langford upgrade next week (or the one after). I was also considering a Higgins to Buddy trade next week which shouldn't cost too much....but I digress.

Now, considering all the outs this week I have Swan on the bench so Taylor comes on the field which is not ideal but no biggie. My main concern is the added donut in defence seeing as I copped the Enright one with no bench cover. Do I stick with the Polec to Watson trade considering their respective B/Es mean that Polec is likely to go down while Jobe goes up in price? Or do I trade Langford to Hurn which saves me a donut but only leaves me with $10K in the bank. This will make it quite hard to upgrade Polec as planned and I may be forced to keep him a bit longer until I can build up the bank balance again.

I am really only going for leagues as I have Buckley's of overall realistically. I was projected to lose the SCS Div 5 match anyway so thinking I should just wear this loss and trade in Watson as planned. Can you please advise - maybe you have a better solution for me?!! Cheers and sorry for the ramble!

Hi GG,
sorry, I was "forced" to go out shopping with my wife about 5.30pm Melbourne time, and missed all the carnage happening.
My advice would have been Langford to Hanley, Lloyd to Shenton, if you had the funds.
I hope you pulled the right reign. :)

Reading between the lines, you really want Boomer, and why not? He's in form, and North's draw is about to get pretty easy.
Zim, trade Boomer in, or i won't be friends anymore! :p

Hi Bobbie,
sorry for the late reply. Given the situation, I think it's just best to keep the "integrity" of your plan and team, and go Polec to Watson. The potential for the gap in their prices to grow so much this week, could cause a chain reaction of delays and/or compromised trades. When you look back on it, the havoc would all have been caused by the Desire to avoid a 65 point donut, and could easily cost you more than that in points and dollars if you try to twist things to fit now. Stick to your plan, go Polec ---> Watson.
Good luck :)

cheers mate. Slightly left some options open last night. Traded Shenton in for Lloyd and started him as F6. So I can still trade Boomer in and shift him fwd next week. But I can now also get an under priced Goddard. Or a highly priced Fyfe. Or a level priced Swallow and finish my DEF. Or an under priced Hurn. Lmao I think way too much. Think I should just keep the friendship stable and get boomer

or bj lol

Hey rowsus who should I get for mcenvoy?
Thinking about Jacobs minson or godly
If I get Jacobs, that means I can only get Barlow for polec instead of Watson next week

I'd love to go back in time, and just stop myself tinkering in the last 10 minutes before round 1!
My season was sent into shambles in that damn stupid 10 minutes! :(
