Hi _Slip_
I'm still not convinced he's the "real deal" and won't drop off as the season goes on.
Certainly his price puts him in the higher risk catagory now, and I won't be getting him. He's on the growing list of players that might prove me wrong this season.
Thanks Rowsus well that makes my decision easier. I have problems with Mumford and Hanley out. My initial thought was to hold Mumford, but after looking at his numbers I'm not sure he can sustain it for the rest of the season. So in short I'm thinking of trading out Mumford for Jacobs. Shifting Hanley to my mid bench as re-assessing next week (hold or trade) and trading Tyson early (might lose $30-$40k) and trading in Grimes who has low break evens for the next 3 weeks and I'm looking for him to step up and be my D6 keeper.

Do you think this is a good idea as my likely Hanley replacement would be McVeigh who I only expect to go up $2K this week, so I still have an option next round.

Really i thought he has been good. Scored well vs TOG in nab, 18d in 1/2 of footy. 23d last week (14hb though) but plenty of looseball gets, felt he was robbed a bit sc wise. Avg 32d in TAC cup and crows draw getting easier for a few. Playing on ball (rover)
Don't forget that was in a big victory, which won't happen every week. 23d in 78% TOG in a big win is good, but not great. Adelaide had a bit over 10% more disposal last week than their season average.
I say he doesn't appear to be a must have, as he will upset some teams bye structures, and unless he is a Rookie of near O'Meara proportions he's not worth damaging your structure to get him.

Hi Rowsus. What are your thoughts on Titchell. Should we be worried about his form, and is it time to punt him? Also your thoughts on Parker and Bruest as these are the two players I am considering if I do pull the trigger.
Hi Babylove.
There is no doubt us Titchell owners should be concerned. Is it Titchell, or the Swans in general that is the problem? I'm not sure on that. Dimma showed us last season (with Zorko), that we can carry one or two underperformers while using our trades elsewhere. If you have no other trades to do, and can find a replacement you are confident in, AND you can reach that replacement with one trade, then fix him, otherwise use your trades elsewhere, or keep them.
Sorry if that isn't an exact answer, but it's along the lines of what I will be doing with him.

EDIT - sorry, forgot to answer the Parker/Breust part of the question.
As I said in Trade Tables last week, I think Breust has done well if you started with him, but it's probably best to not get him now. If it's out of those 2, get Parker.
Hey Rowsus, copped my carnage in round 2 and luckily dodged these rounds bullets to put me back with a respectable score, however T.Mitchell remains a concern. I can trade out Mitchell to anyone under Chapman's price and the two guys I'm looking at are Parker and Chapman.

I assume Chapman would be rested during the later rounds of the season and that when he plays he will average 100+ here on out, obviously the main concern his durability.

Parker I'm not too sure about, I think he's a solid player but will score a lot more 80-90s with the occasional big score, putting him slightly under Chapman's average I would think. Is there even the chance that Parker could start copping a tag (just a guess).

Who would you advise to go with Rowsus?

Cheers
Hey dyii,
If we assume Chappy averages 100 from her, and misses 2 or 3 more games that are replaced by a 70 point Rookie (we'll assume our bench cover is stronger later in the season than now), then his PIT70 score from here will be 1710 or 1740. If Parker plays 17 out of 18 games from here, with the same 70 point Rookie cover, he needs to average 96.5 if Chappy misses 3 games, and he needs to average 98.2 if Chappy misses 2 games. So unless you think Chappy will miss more than 2 or 3 games, or the Rookie coverage is less reliable, Chappy probably beats Parker from here.
Hey Rowsus, quick question about Tom Mitchell. Never seen him play but was wondering if its his role that's limiting his scoring, the weather, or his form? I'll most likely trade him out to Parker this week and seeing as they play similar roles (I think) has made me reconsider to Chappy maybe.
Am I having deja vu?
I'm not sure what is different about this question, than yesterdays question.

Certainly sounds workable, I just hope Grimes stays on the park. He's due to get through most of a season.

Hey Rowsus, I'm making my first defensive upgrade this week as having the two Lang's on my field is leaking too many points.

If I trade Langdon, I can get Hibberd.
If I trade Langford, I can get Enright or Scott Thompson.

Langford I feel is the weakest link so I would prefer to get rid of him first, but at the same time, Hibberd is my favourite upgrade option of the lot.

I'll upgrade the second player in two weeks, so it pretty much comes down to: 2 weeks of Langford and Hibberd v Langdon and Enright/S. Thompson. Bearing in mind, if I go with Langford/Hibberd there's also the possibility that I could instead upgrade Langdon to Bartel/A. Walker/R. Murphy.

Any good logic here would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Salty,
I'm not in the Fasolo camp, and think you'd be better to go to Lloyd a week early than get Fasolo. If you can upgrade Caddy, even better. As to Chappy, you need to decide how many games you'll think he will miss. If it is 3 or 4 he's "gettable", if it's more he's regrettable.
Ok mate upgrade it is then. I thought fasolo good last 2 weeks got his own footy, nice in the packs, playing marley williams role. Lloyd well priced just dont think he will back it up. But getting him anyways

Cheers im confident in chappy and if rookie fills in then no diff than what i have now, not sold on gunston/breust/cyril/pav im just spewing i got talked out of him pre-season. Gotta take some risks after bad start sitting at 18,000 overall

Crouch isn't a must have, or not on what he has produced so far anyway. Definitely some Coaches would be best to forget him, and keep their round 8 bye structure safe. While Robertson is a risk, sometimes risks need to be taken. Given your structure, and the potential for more bubble boys next week, I don't think it is the worst set of trades you could do.
Good luck :)
Cheers mate - Usually ok with my trade decisions but value your opinion in this situation.
Thanks again !

Hey Erich,
In the great scheme of things, there is not a lot between the 2 Langs, and as their primary purpose is to help you fill your team with Prems, get the Prem you want. It's more important to have the Prem you want, than to keep one Rookie that is marginally better than another.

'Getting the premium you want' are wise words Rowsus. Because a premiums price has dropped like a stone doesn't mean get him in or drop him either. As for Mitchell, if he spends a game on the ball and scores 60 then trade him.

Hi Rowsus, what are your thoughts on Brodie Smith as a defensive option to replace Hanley? Looks like he could have a breakout year.

With Hanley out i want to strengthen my back line. Any chance Jaensch will continue his average? Would it be worth trading a cash cow like tyson or ellis to him?
