Wish all this happened a day earlier as I would've brought in LLoyd last night for Gawn with extra trade likely now.

That used to be the case... They have done significant work on the ground over the last year though to soften it up. It's not much of an issue these days.

Yeah it's still one of the leagues harder surfaces, just like Marvel Stadium... But that has no part in this reason they have made to send both WA teams on the road yet again.

I like how they chose a colour scheme for the stadium that matches all the bore water stains on everyone's house.

Yea that's true. Will be ineresting to see if they start the SC finals in that round and whether we have extra trades/best 18 situation.

No idea to be honest, SC Finals don't really bother me.

I am sure Virtual Sports have only just been given the fixture too, so I am sure they will communicate what they are doing in due course, or people can use the 'Contact Us" section and actually ask direct

personally I hope we don't get any more extra trades

given they kept it at 30 trades for a then 17 round season upon resumption we were extremely lucky it was not reduced to 22-24

5 trades to fix Round 2 teams was good, needed to do something

extra trades for Round 9 - 12 was generous considering 2 of those rounds were normal rounds

think those coaches who deliberately held onto using trades like they are/were going out of fashion are now severely disadvantaged

just my opinion of course

no matter what Virtual Sports decide on though they won't please everyone, maybe we just needed unlimited trades every round

If I had a vote it would be no extra trades. I am not really sure if that would help or hurt my team.

If we get extra trades I wont complain. The season has been crazy and the game of SC has changed a few times (more trades, teams dropping later, shorter qtrs, unknown byes etc).

As long as we are all playing by the same rules its PLAY ON

It's usually been 6 team byes though traditionally. I think Best 18 seems pretty likely.

That is true @Bomber18. But other years we have known when the byes will be probably 15 weeks earlier, which has allowed some planning.

Not the case this year finding out now allowing no planning (in theory).

Will be interesting to see what happens.

More chance to plan than what happened during the Ess/Dees byes! To be honest, that will still be the bye round that has stung me most, even more than Round 15! I had 4 premos out during that bye round at a time when still very rookie exposed.

Currently have 4 Round 15 bye premos + Rankine. With the opportunity to trade during R12, R13 and R14, I can change that to 1 to no premos out in R15.

True IIRC, I was very similar as at that stage, I had Oliver (started), Merrett (started), Viney, Petracca.

With resting players the norm in coming weeks SC have to provide more trades. Going to be nuts the amount of players that get rested or put in cotton wool early.

7 Rookies
3 deadwood
During the byes I currently have :
Rnd 14: 18-1-5 = 24 playing
Rnd 15: 12-1-6 =19 playing
Rnd 16: 17-1-7 = 25 playing
Not too scary really, especially if they throw in 3 extra trades!

Ooooh - about time we know what the byes look like. I am excited. Think I can manage so long as I get those three more trades. If not, I will likely be one short of my trades wanted and won't have two up my sleeve for injury. But, hey... I have been bye focused for some rounds now... Why else would I have such a saad team. ;-)

He might, but the Eagles have 5 games in 18 days, and I suspect that he won’t play all 5.

Think i have to reluctantly grab Neale. Even been placed in a bye friendly best 18 round for owners.

My first thought on seeing him in the first bye was the opposite, only two more rounds of suffering to endure and then grab him post-bye as the last big ticket upgrade via Serong/Simpson...

Have to laugh at a few having a heart attack over 6 clubs having a bye in rd 15. Every other season 6 clubs having a bye was the norm.
Really hope they keep it at best 18 and would love to see no extra trades, but assume it will be 1 extra per bye round.

6 + Rankine who will be a keeper/stay at F6 if we aren't given more trades.

Round 14: Laird + Neale
Round 15: Stewart, Duncan, Danger, Bont, Macrae, BSmith, Simpkin, Rankine (chance to stay at F6)
Round 16: Grundy + Dusty

Was always going to be in trouble if cats and dogs had the same bye.

Advantage those who decided to start loading up on ESS and MEL players after their postponed game. Oliver, Trac, Ridley, Saad, Merrett and to the lesser extent Gawn and Shiel with them missing games and Viney.

If more trades I might just go Gawn to Oliver.

As it stands I'll have:
Round 14: 4
Round 15: 8 (including Simpson, Bytel and Geo who are likely gone by then)
Round 16: 2

Could be a lot worse, but that's also assuming all my other players are playing but with the quality of rookie in my team could be missing more, particularly round 15
