I think that is what subconsciously made me chose Colquhuon over him last week. As DEF/MID it just gave me an extra option what I did with him. Problem is I already have Heath and Stevenson as rookie defenders from same club so I did not think it fully through last Sunday when I made my final choice.
The Port DEF rookies are gold along with Wines and guys like Monfries, wouldn't worry too much about having 3 or 4 of them just a matter of trading them at the right time. I to have 4 in DEF and Wines.:)

Agree GG, just have to keep in mind there are some other Port players coming back in over the next little while - will be interesting to see how that affects the rookies JS.

Cassisi is one is likely to be coming back within the next few weeks, and may possibly kick Mitchell out of the Team. =/ Lucky I don't have Mitchell. However, I think Wines' spot is secured.

oh ****.. .you got Pittard too. I'm thinking maybe I should have followed your and Supergirls lead and loaded up on more defense rookies. I was too busy deciding between Ben Jacobs, Newman and Grima for mid priced defense spot I kind of took my eye of the ball that there was a lot of choices for defense rookies on table.

Terlich should be named, mentioned in the Heraldsun today p76. Mark Robinson suggests 4 changes with Trengove, Mcdonald, Terlich & one other coming in for Lynden Dunn who has done a hammy atm.
Mark Neeld told him that (whole article was about him) so the changes are basically certain rather than just suggestions.

Anybody else thinking K Mitchell > O'Meara and Neade > Macaffer for the last starting spot? Provided no vests the two Port guys v GWS have a much higher ceiling for mine. Neade is a bigger vest concern this week for mine so I'm undecided on him. If Dwyer gets dropped the floating zero will make that decision a lot easier.

Corrective Rookie trade when to make it? When the rookie is on the bubble? Have to work out if i would start him this week.

That's the key. I want Wines' score this week so I'm not waiting.

I followed that same thought process to bring in Clay Smith in round 2 last year.
In round 1 he scored 102 in just over 3/4's of a game, before being subbed off with cramp.
I thought I needed to make more than 2 corrective trades, so started in round 2 instead of waiting.
He kicked 4 goals, scored 102, I was thinking "He's a lock for a must have cash cow!"
History shows us he scored 27, 30 in the next 2 weeks, followed by missing the next 3 games!!!!
After returning, and missing a couple of games around the byes, his scores went 10, 52, 8, 30!!!!
In fact, out of 16 games he played last year, after scoring 102 on debut he only had 5 more scores over 60!!! 78, 78, 78, 72, 61!!!!

Not saying this will happen to Wines, but boy it kicked me in the teeth, and taught me something about making assumptions on the back of one game!

Did floating donut/captain loophole work for anyone in round 1?
Well. Not really for me. Dangerfield screwed me over. :(

I don't think I'll be using it though. I'm gonna stick with Ablett every week, with no messing around. :p

Good news.

Shame I can't fit Colq into my side. :(
Well the two guys I picked as FD will likely now be both selected in Colquhoun and Rowe, not complaining though as they should make a bit of extra cash and I can still use Currie as a FD.
