Don't forget that 2017 Draft Class players abide by the same structure picked up in the Rounds 19 - 54 draft as they did when available in the modified auction. Teams decide years and structure.

I will have to manually add them to that section, however I will need to know the years to make the verification work.

Oscar Allen (Rangers)
Bailey Fritsch (Rangers)
Toby Woller (Giants)
Charlie Constable (Rangers)

PLEASE NOTE: Even if you are physically able to alter the top 60 and 2017 Draft Class won at the modified, YOU MUST NOT MAKE CHANGES TO THOSE SECTIONS. We will be checking against our copy made at Sunday's deadline.

Damn I hadn’t read this rule properly so ended up with 3 of these guys!

What’s the deadline for me to lock in salary and years?

Been analyzing my squad my backline looks like my weakness, especially D5 down, not a lot of depth.

Happy overall though!
I’m also reasonably happy overall. Top end mids and captain options will be my weak point, but I think I have pretty good depth forward and back. Also a few decent backup options for when injuries strike!

Not the worst result for me in the end, few wasted picks but the “excuse” to only offer one year contracts to these guys helps me keep some of my top end guys for a bit longer.

Can't complain .... only grabbed 2 or 3 players not on my initial watch-lists ...

- Got a stack of cash left ... a bit more than I was intending but think I'm going to need it in future years ....
- Missing out on the cream of the 2018 draft class is still doing my head in ....

- Only one line where my depth coverage is shorter than I planned for ...

Might be open for player negotiations but doubt it yet unless you're willing to trade a top end 2018 draft class player or ruckman ... happy with the rest of my side ... PM me if you have some concoction ..

Brief assessment after the completion of the draft for The Giants.
Stoked with our best 22. Taranto cover will have to come from DPP FWDs or Milera into the MIDs, or back in young Noah Anderson after we opted to not to select another established genuine MID with our final pick. Very happy with our next generation RUCs/RUC cover, FWD depth in terms of 'live' bodies even if not necessarily outstanding scoring. Plenty of young, untried talent that will hopefully come on over the next year or two to really bring up our depth.

Few minor adjustments to the contract years might be looked at over the coming days as the dust settles.

Looking forward to really sitting down and analysing not only my own list, but others also to see the different paths and strategies we have all taken.

Also keen to see a bit of team content over the next week or so as we near the restart of footy. Team pages on the Taptalk forum should start to be created as we can now post our players. The Giants will be making various press releases over the next few days regarding a range of things to do with the club.

On completion of the 2020 inaugural draft that commenced the TailsPower team squad we're pleased to recruit the following player list ....

Defence:
- Our club intentions were to go deep in this line regardless of age and rely on experience coupled with some youth ...
- So here is our intended starting line up:

1. (BRI) Daniel Rich
2. (CAR) Nic Newman
3. (PTA) Darcy-Byrne Jones
4. (WCE) Bradley Sheppard
5. (BRI) Harris Andrews
6. (COL) Jeremy Howe

Reserves:
7. (WBD) Hayden Crozier

Future Development:
8. (ESS) Brandon Zerk-Thatcher
9. (GEE) Jack Henry
10. (GEE) Zac Guthrie

Midfield:
- Our club intentions were to seek perceived value / consistency on this line and stick with experience regardless of age for the short term ... always wary of what impact taggers can have on up coming talent ....
- So here is our intended starting line up:

11 (FRE) Nathan Fyfe
12. (SYD) Josh P Kennedy
13. (PTA) Travis Boak
14. (COL) Steele Sidebottom
15. (STK) Jack Billings
16. (NTH) Jared Polec
17. (HAW) Liam Shiels
18. (GCS) Touk Miller

Reserves:
19. (RIC) Marlion Pickett
20. (SYD) Justin McInerney
21. (COL) Tyler Brown

Future Development:
22. (SYD) Brady Rowles
23. (FRE) Luke Valente
24. (GCS) Jeremy Sharp
25. (GEE) Bradley Close

Ruck:
- Our club intentions were to go for at least 2 of the top players in this category regardless of age and once again rely upon experience ..
- we didn't achieve the intended list coverage we desired but have instead attempted to "hand-cuff" each of them ...
- So here is our intended starting line up:

26. (MEL) Max Gawn
27. (NTH) Todd Goldstein

Reserves:
28. (MEL) Braydon Preuss

Future Development:
29. (NTH) Charlie Comben

Forwards:
- Our club intentions were to look predominantly for potential unrealised talent on this line coupled with some experience ...
- So here is our intended starting line up:

30. (GEE) Gryan Miers
31. (NTH) Ben Brown
32. (SYD) Tom Papley
33. (COL) Will Hoskin-Elliott
34. (BRI) Eric Hipwood
35. (STK) Ben Long

Reserves:
36. (CAR) Zac Fisher
37. (ESS) Jacob Townsend

Future Development:
38. (HAW) Oliver Hanrahan
39. (NTH) Tarryn Thomas
40. (FRE) Sam Sturt
41. (FRE) Brett Bewley
42. (WBD) Ben Cavarra
43. (MEL) Toby Bedford
44. (PTA) Trent Burgoyne

Has taught me some lessons in the list recruitment / management process ... not as simple as it all seems ..

- Ie ... you're going to need have "X" many fit players on your list to fulfill various positions to cover any injuries ..
- Can only have so many "development" players as really they are potential list cloggers until ready to go ... although I've listed some under this category that are already playing ...

I have probably been a stubborn thorn in the whole draft process - probably aint finished yet :) .. but I have good intentions ...

However, all in all this is the best fantasy sports experience I've ever endured ... on so many levels but it helps if you have an accommodating crowd ... congrats to all involved !!

- Very much a hands on, visual and experience based exponent ... can read all I want but nothing substitutes the former(s) to me ... apologies for my many screw ups or mis-understandings ...

- Now already contemplating future trade options (my team depth has been posted) ... what have you done to me :)

Got some cash and "probable" contract years up my sleeve along with two others (for now cash wise) ... always ready to discuss ... time for some down time though and then bring any potential discussions on ...

Well there's a big, big sound
From the top of the town
It's the sound of the mighty GIANTS

You feel the ground a-shaking
The other SCSUL teams are quaking
In their boots before the GIANTS

We score the biggest scores
And have the largest wins
We're stronger than the rest

We're the mighty Goodie’s GIANTS
We're the biggest and the best

And we will never surrender
We'll fight until the end
We're greater than the rest

Due to the current travel restrictions as well as limiting the amount of public gatherings in conjunction with technical inadequacies, Creme De La Creme, led by the incomparable Connoisseur have decided against holding a press conference to announce the newest marquee players instead opting for an artist's impression of the trio modelling all 3 available Guernseys. Only one was worthy of that role which was the esteemed @Bermi who voluntarily offered his services free of charge, much to the delight of the frugal Connoisseur.

Without further ado, Creme De La Creme presents:

Lachie Neale:

The inaugural captain, first selected player and highest paid player for Creme De La Creme boasts a superb record which consists of playing 110 of the last 111 games at an avg of 112.25. Recently turning 27 he fits the age profile, durability and consistency required and desired by list management as well as being acquired at a reasonable price.
Salary: $1,000,000 at 6 years

Elliot Yeo:

The second selected player and midfielder for Creme De La Creme has recorded two consecutive seasons averaging approximately 107.5 and has a bright future at the club ahead with his best yet to come as his tackling prowess in conjunction with his age being highly desirable by list management.
Salary: $930,000 at 5 years.

Luke Parker:

Rounding off the top trio is another midfielder selected for his durability and consistency highlighted by playing 129 games from a possible 132 games since 2014 at an avg of 104.95. Another midfielder currently aged 27 to add to the aforementioned, bodes well for sustaining his current output to the end of his contract.
Salary: $865,000 at 4 years

I am surprised that there were players not on your initial watch list! I could have sworn I heard a groan from you after every selection! :p

Unfortunately I can’t see your pictures. They are just showing as blank white boxes for me. Is that due to image size?

Leadership Group: The Rangers are pleased to announce that M.Bontempelli, Z.Merrett, D.Martin and R.Marshall have been elected into the leadership group for 2020.

Coaches Comments: Overall, the club is very pleased with the results of the inaugural draft. The plan was to target a core group of elite players who would help the keep the Rangers in the hunt for a premiership for 4-5 years and we have been able to accomplish just that.
In particular, we had Heeney, D.Smith, T.Greene and Nankervis ranked in our top 10 leading into the free agency draft so we were stoked to be able to pick them all up. Also, we have a fantastic group of developing talent on our list, Rowell, Rankine, Stack and King just to name a few, and we are confident that we have structured our salary cap so that we can keep our talent at the club long term. Overall, we are #ReadyToHunt
