If Darcy misses 6, in the first 6 games Jackson plays against Brisbane (at OS), Port & WCE who give away big points to opposition ruckmen, as well as 2 more games at OS, and a game against North.

If it's 6 weeks, it's 5 SC rounds.

I have it on very good authority that he was preferred to Schache as the fwd/ruck to assist Gawn before the hammy injury pre-season so would not be surprised if he makes his Melbourne debut sooner rather than later. Possibly as early as round 1 depending on how Schache performs tomorrow night.

Could be a decent pick and a chance of getting handy FWD/RUC status.

Had him on my fwd bench becuase of the chop out and fwd/ruc dpp until he got injured. Good to hear he is in the mix again.

If a player in your 22 gets the green vest, then your emergency should just come onto field and take their place. Such a simple solution for SC to implement that would help keep/bring back casual players.

Could be the 3 to 6 mentioned by Connoisseur or just the 2 (which I'll run with). Then there's the 2 or more at the end of the year that he might put up.

If he's 30 points underpriced compared to when he's rucking, then there's at least 4* 30 = 120 points we are getting for free if we start with him. Normally you'd have to pay a trade to get into those points because it would bee later in the year and you would most likely have bigger fish to fry (or be low on trades).

In this case, you are being offered 60 points straight up with a decent promise of more down the line.

I'd say if you were going to get Jackson in at all this year then you'd now want to be starting him. He will not perform at his peak for a large stretch of the year though as he will be playing out of the square for a large part of it. Starting him might cost you value or high end points elsewhere.

What provides the best bang for your buck?
The extra uber in that one mid premium?
A couple of MPs and 100k? (You will get another rookie)
A fairly solid Top 6 forward who could provide extra ruck coverage late and will most likely get first ruck duties for a good 6 weeks?

I feel like Shrek is such an anomaly though. The man plays with that much tape week in week out that I could see him back in 2 weeks.
That's my worry with the Jackson pick. But... always easier to downgrade from a Jackson than it is to try to fit him with a correction trade in 2 weeks time when Darcy's injury gets pushed to 6 weeks...

Jackson is now interesting but is 2-3 games enough to now pick him if you weren’t before. Darcy missed 8 game last year so that is already factored into his price. Miller and Steele price lower that Jackson. Deep forward in the middle of winter and Dockers kick 5 goals be ready to get plenty of 60-70. Scored 37 against the Dogs.

On a positive with the weakness in the forwards he should be in the top ten even playing deep forward and the R/F link can be very handy late in the year.

To be a good pick needs to be 10% better than last year in both areas or Darcy miss more the 8 games. 50/50 call to go with another 10 50/50 calls going to be an interesting year.

Player pricing, projections and BEs have been updated going into Rd0 tomorrow. Remaining salary dropped ~$2k and projection went up from 1,712 to 1,746. Noice

Just going by this again, Williams projected score is 34, so there's your difference. He's come off the injury list and they've now added his projected score.

Would have liked Roberts in the team in place of Cunningham as the rebounding defender role would be golden.

Looking at the team, he's basically holding the place for Adams and Parker (or a Mills miracle) who are both in the ~4 week range, so would be just two price changes.

I really like him as a player and do think he can win a spot (He's definitely better than Rowbottom for example...) but would have to do that. His ability to play defense also is handy but our defenders are pretty durable so hard to see the opening outside him just outplaying guys.

Positive is his role should be solid to start out, imagine it will be mostly wing.

Longmuir said on radio best case 3-5, thats more likely to end up 7 or 8 with him I reckon.

Virtually back to back knee surgeries is unlikely to be a smooth rehab.

Nice one. I also noticed that the bench was not in alphabetical or numerical order, which for some teams (and some media outlets) is meaningful.
