The remaining schedule hasn't been entered into RDT yet but I've done my best guess of how the split will look. Here it is:
fixture.PNG
The bottom row, n=, indicates the amount of games in each round. I obviously can't guarantee these are correct but I have ensured that none of the round breaks fall between an early and late game on the same day.

The only thing I can guarantee is that SRH will have a double in the last round as they have two of the last five games to be played, and Delhi's last game is match 64 so even if the last round is a 6 match round they will have a bye.

If this is anything like correct though, then there's some interesting patterns to note...
* RCB, PK and GT will not have a double all season - I dunno about you but those are three teams I'm invested pretty heavily in!
* I managed to find not one but two stretches of six games where SRH don't play at all! I made these ones the 6s as I feel the 3 double/1 bye round structure is more interesting than 2 double/2 bye. Especially when we haven't had opportunity to plan for the byes with our starting teams.
* No team has the dreaded bye-double-bye but Delhi comes pretty close. Two overlapping double-bye-doubles will be interesting to navigate though!
* If I'm right, every round from round 9 to the end has a bye... which means I'm going to need to find enough money to ditch my donuts by the end!

Nice work. If that ends up being the draw, we get 12 trades (excluding boosts) after this round to prepare for the R6 doubles, so I’ll happily take that.

Unfortunately held Patidar, so Cummins and Pandya may go if I wish to use all three trades. Rabada banked thanks to Narine and Russell. Green VC did not work out, so captaincy goes to Jadeja.

2/73
Might move Ravindra down and swap with Narine.

Cummins traded to swap Narine back to bank Rabada and Ravindra, if necessary. Allows another look at potential cash generators to be added to the list with Rawat, etc. Would like to keep one piece of the Sunrisers but bar Klassen no else appeals. Jaiswal may be traded due to the upcoming bye meaning only one price change and to allow H Pandya to stay and to ensure I am not overexposed to Raj VS Del and underexposed to Sun VS Mum.

Thanks @Connoisseur for posting the Rabada tweet, I’m happy I kept him over Bairstow after seeing that.

Curran and Rabada both scored 70 as my bench loops, so I will take one of them.

Maxy to Green looks a possible fail in that Maxy bowled more, and Green went low. I don’t rate Maxwell so much in this format though (he’s a superstar in BBL but less so in IPL) so I’m okay with that trade. Obviously won’t take Green as VC though.

Setup as below now, 166k cash.

Worth flagging re @diabolical’s second order looping suggestion - I think the X vs Y depends on game order.

Eg one of my donuts plays for Mumbai, so I can only use tonight’s players (let’s say Gill and Rahman) as the additional loop players.

If I understand correctly, I have two options:

(1) Take Gill and Rahman on field, and bench Jaiswal (my original plan), or

(2) Take the higher of Gill and Rahman on field via looping, and field Jaiswal.

Given that I get the higher of Gill and Rahman in either scenario, it then comes down to:

Lower of Gill and Rahman vs Jaiswal

I’m pretty comfortable with the Jaiswal option in this case, so I’ll do the loop, but if he was a poorer option/the two looped players had higher floors, it may not be an appealing tradeoff.

Definitely worth considering though.

The lower of Gill and Rahman ended up being Gill’s 8, so I am happy to back Jaiswal to beat that!

Rahman 60 was good. Ravindra 107 excellent, especially from a cheapie. Jadeja 7 and Omarzai 11 a bit disappointing but okay at their ownership/price.

Never in my life did I think I'd see an innings at Chepauk with just two overs of spin! I took Ravindra VC thinking he'd get a bowl and instead Jadeja had his overs taken off him by Daryl Mitchell (!).

It sure worked for other reasons though!

6/406 (Ravindra)
