Libba to Crouch not bolded, upgrade or downgrade? Not exactly sure myself.

Wild trading
That's a good point, I classed it as a downgrade to give him the benefit of the doubt, but you'd have to say that at $491k Crouch could only be classed as a (very underpriced) midfield premium keeper. So that's another sideways (premo correction?) trade, which makes it 8 out of 12.

Pretty much my thinking. 70-80 most likely and rookies in the pipeline.
Sexton might get another run, heard someone here say he had a good day in the lagoons. So I'm looking at spending 40K to trade Duursma, who is somehow getting a game still at least, to Comben. Not worth a trade or boost.

Held Reid as well, let's hope he gets on the park soon.

McKercher, Clark > Graham, Comben

Then I think I'll use my first boost. I have enough cash to upgrade Carroll to Heeney (would leave me $2k). But I have Dawson and after seeing him live against the Blues I think it's time to concede defeat and trade him out to stop the bleeding. But I feel it's not great for upgrade trajectory. Thoughts?

Get Heeney. Everyone scores well against Essendon & then get rid of Dawson next week.

Third boost on a triple downgrade to get some legitimate money makers on the bench - sitting on this until team sheets are released.

McKercher > Graham
Sexton > Lohmann
Mannagh > Comben

Gibcus to be a part of a 2down1up next week once the DPP changes come through, potentially Stewart. Would love to make a move on Marshall via Jackson DPP but I might be just short of the funds.

Edit: Haven't selected VC/C yet, ignore lol

Taking a solid cash cow v effecting an upgrade one week earlier is a classic SC dilemma.

I think generally the right answer can be to take the better cash cows / rookies as they present but the temptation to go the other way is of course always there (and completely understandable).

FWIW I jumped on Comben last round early!

That's what boosts are for, get the cows and upgrade.

If teams are otherwise forced to run say Darcy on field and see comben as a more reliable starter then i get it.
Generally though I feel bringing in $200k players in upgrade time delays upgrades. That’s been my past experience anyway. You really need them to work out.
But you can’t always play this game stuck on rules like that.

At this early stage, I still like to try and upgrade to value and you could put Zorko in that basket. There will be opportunities to grab the Uber premiums at cheaper prices as the upgrade season continues and with the forward premium average probably the weakest of all lines, Zorko is a good risk to take imo.

It's all about making incremental gains to your team average and if that means getting a premium a week early by saving money this week, then it is definitely worth it. Even better if you're getting two or three premiums over the next couple weeks.
I considered Zorko last week. My biggest worry, more than getting a soft tissue injury is, being subbed out of games where the result is done. In particular later in the season. And you'd assume Brisbane will get a few of those.
