Did some more digging on D Mundy regarding his possession count and contested possessions over the past 3 years.

Since 2016 Mundy has played 61 of a possible 66 games for an average of 92.91 SC and 22.43 disposals.

When Mundy has recorded 20 or more disposals over the past 3 seasons he has averaged 101.24 from 41 matches in comparison to an average of 75.8 from 20 games when he has recorded less than 20 disposals.

In regards to contested possessions Mundy has averaged 10.33 over the past 3 seasons (61 matches) and his average when he records 10 or more contested possessions is 101.31 from 36 matches in comparison to an average of 80.8 from 25 matches when his contested possessions are below 10.
I actually prefer him in his previous role pre Neale leaving so not sold yet. Might be sharing points with Walters until he inevitably gets injured ... then you've got the other young kids needing to gain experience at the same time ... age catches up will us all too ... still on the watch and wait list for me ...

They'd only be favourites in 1 of their first 10 games and then in 3 of the following 4

Decreasing disposals and contested averages and TOG increasing is likely attributed to spending more time in the forward line and a move back to a predominantly midfield role should be extremely beneficial for D Mundy.

If he starts the year primarily in the midfield and with their opening fixture featuring 6 of their first 10 matches or 6/11 pre bye at Optus he should be a great starting selection.

Well you are going to be greatly disappointed with another mediocre finish from me. Hopefully I have a good run with injuries/suspension/DNP from my "premiums" this year as from memory approximately 18-21 rounds last year I had one of the aforementioned. M Crouch injured RD2, Kreuzer lasted 3 games mid season in my side before I got Grundy, held Billings all season, brought H Andrews in and he lasted 1/2 a quarter to name a couple.

Problem with all the researching is there are too many appealing options but not enough cash to get them all.

Good luck for SC 2019 and I'll have to keep a close eye on your progress.

You too mate - I have faded in the final couple of rounds over the last few years, hopefully the injuries stay away for both of us!

I like to trade early and heavy and with the injuries compounding that it usually means I'm out of trades heading into the last month and enjoy a couple of donuts. Attempted to alleviate that concern last year by having depth on the majority of lines (J Billings F7, J Webster D7, L Shuey M9 as well as multiple DPP's) but was still to many injuries to contend with.

Given u held Billings last year (as did I) do u think u will be backing your judgment that u had last year for the outside mid role close to full time? When he plays that role he can rebound and send inside 50 with great accuracy. SC gold IF he gets played in that position.....

I wish I didn't pick Billings last year...
At least I would pick him this year with the forwards giving me so much headaches!
How about not picking Billings last year and still not wanting to pick him this year because I spent all of last year laughing at everyone in my leagues who had him and would cost them h2h’s.

What are people’s thoughts on Menagola and his ability to continue scoring 100+ like he did the last 6 weeks of 2018 (with ease).

Any info regarding his role in those games that may differ this year ?

Last year I'm pretty sure I traded Billings to Walters and Walters did worse than Billings on the run home for me.

Wingard, Billings and Walters....something about the three of them that I can't put my finger on but makes them inconsistent. I've owned all 3 of them between 2017 and 2018, plenty of highs, and plenty of lows.

I owned Wingard since about round 12 last year and it was magnificent.

If healthy and he is playing in the midfield he is an automatic 100 scorer.

Just read those Mundy stats and I’m going to Devon Smith -> to Mundy. Seems like a no brainer. Have even had Mundy before and didn’t even consider him, don’t know why!

I’m guessing everyone thinks he’s up for more mid time with Neale gone now?

Is there too many unknowns now though with him moving to the Hawks?

Yeah he's shown the last two years when playing midfield that he will score pretty decently, still when he's played half-forward or in the pocket, where his x-factor once shined through, he's proved very frustrating. Could be a very good upgrade target once he gets going this year.

He should play midfield with Mitchell gone but I’d wait and see.

Watch first 2-3 games and see what his role is. Can always jump on as soon as he moves into the midfield role (may be straight away) because it won’t change from there on in. He was unbelievably good in the middle last 10 weeks last year, snuck under the radar because he was at Port and not kicking flashy goals but I’d take 25 touches, 6 clearances and a goal a week over 15 touches and 3 goals with a highlight reel package.

Can watch and see what his role is but he is a must have if he is playing midfield. Averaged 103 playing midfield from rounds 12 onwards last year.

Another thing to note is he rocked up to pre season well oberweight and was constantly niggled with injuries to begin last year.

As soon as he went into the midfield (when he was fit enough, potentially would’ve started here round 1 or earlier than round 12 anyway had he not been overweight or lacking fitness), he was a jet and averaged 103 for the last 11 games.
