JJ is an interesting punt. 44 and 36 in his last 3 would worry me a lot though.

Simpson is the standout pick for Ryan in my books. Scoring has really picked up of late and he has elite scoring history.
Yeah those scores are a slight concern but I'm more inclined to believe that they're an anomaly. I watched the individual highlights from the Melbourne game through my app and Lockhart seemed to be following him around the back line. During the season he's scored 4 tonnes, 2 scores in the 90's, 4 scores in the 80's, 3 scores in the 70's and that 44 and 36 recently in a two week span in his 15 games.

Simpson has a good 3 round average but before that he had not scored 80+ since Round 5. He's also more expensive so I won't have as much freedom for my final trade.

I think there's more evidence throughout the season that Johannisen is the better pick if both revert to the mean. I think Simpson's age means he likely won't revert back to elite scoring history and even though both have been injured this season I'm more inclined to think Simpson is the bigger injury risk.

As sad as it sounds I'm really only going to benefit if there are some common players put out to pasture early, injured or suspended. As bad as it sounds I wouldn't mind seeing something like Boak and Bont missing a few.
I’ve benefitted ranking wise from not having Hurn or Ryan in the last two rounds and also had a lucky break when Boak was a late out. Feels quite dirty as I don’t have any real cover in defence or up fwd so would have really copped it had I had those guys.

I did have to trade JKelly though but he just cost a trade rather than points due to lack of cover.

Definitely a game of dodging bullets sometimes and lucky breaks.

Still early in the week but I'm wavering on Birchall now. :(

Not a huge number of options to play with after bringing Grundy in for ROB - 385.8k left to play with.

I can't see anyone obvious worth bringing in as a replacement for Ryan at or near that price point which is what led me to to the Birchall downgrade (to loop with Logue who should hopefully see a lot more intercept marking opportunities with Ryan out).

Is there some hidden gem I'm missing?

Alternatively if Naish gets another run at AFL level (in for Cotchin) then I would potentially go with looping Naish and Logue at D6 and bring someone else in up forward to loop with Westhoff, if the difference between Birchall and Naish might not be great?
Yeah I agree, at that sub 385k range, Birchall compares well. That recurring soreness late out would be concerning but he has otherwise scored well. Haven’t seen Hawks games but is he getting kickouts too?

1 trade left and 600 bucks itb. Do I trade Ryan to Simmo or keep trade and play Logue at D6 this week (Naish on bench as well)?

Clarke, Bewley mid cover
No forward cover
No ruck cover

I'm leaning to keeping trade atm.

Still 4 rds to go Juzzo, if you lose a fwd or ruck you eat donuts...

Jack Silvagni is still there.

Although he's 100k more than he was 2 weeks ago at 370. Also has F/D status of that benefits you. Last 5 has 2 in 70s, 1 in 80s and 2 tonnes. At the price point it's still decent enough, especially if you have another F/D to switch about

I tend to completely forget guys once I trade them out, or choose not to trade them in, but just looking that up, and Steele as well has hurt. I was strongly considering Silvagni and Steele 2 weeks ago, but took Milera as the D, and then held Brayshaw. Would have been about 200 points and 100k better off.

At the end of the season I think I'll need a thorough review.

Seems like carnage at selection is a massive possibility this week. Might be a lot of rethinking trades.....

Cotch and now Stack likely being out for a few weeks makes it more likely that Naish might get an extended run of games over the next 3-4 weeks.

This makes trading Ryan out trickier as Naish might be a viable loop option with Logue going forward without needing to bringing in Birchall.

Is there any other option up to $385.6k up forward who could potentially be a solid option, perhaps as a loophole at F6 with Westhoff?
