Essendon's setup from the Marsh 1 CBA spreadsheet was quite interesting to follow.
-Parish consistently had around 50%-60% of the CBAs and had minimal time on the wing. According to the Prospectus 2020, Parish was only in 24% of the CBAs in 2019.
-Zaharakis was used as a half fwd and not on a wing.
-Langford looking like taking Zaha's position on the wing with Langford not in any CBAs.
-McGrath in the CBAs in the first 3 qtrs before returning to his more usual position on the wing in Q4.
-Ham used consistently on a wing for the entire game.
-DSmith was used mainly on a wing in Q3 and in the CBAs in Q4. To be frank, I'm not sure if he's usually used on a wing, would've thought he'd be used in the CBs normally.
I'm a little more positive on Parish's prospects after looking at these stats further, CBAs seem to be pushed up to 50-60% (from 24% in 2019) and Langford seems to no longer be in there (pushed to a wing). D.Clarke also doesn't seem to be in Essendon's plans.
Will be interesting to see if Parish's CBs are as consistent as this in Marsh 2. Could be a chance to push a 100 average with the right inside midfield role.
