Some good discussions around Cripps.

Manyproblems - not sure I would be dropping Touk at M3 for Cripps. For me 3 premiums in mids is the minimum. Challenge is I cannot get it to 4 without weakening the rookie choices. Hesitant with the Will Kelly types this year.

The question is how many 400k-500k players do you go. Plenty of choices with breakouts Butters, Heeney, Thomas, less so Bailey then there is the fallen premiums in Sicily and Whitfield.

M4 premium is tough as a Touk level player is effectively a Stewart + 200k 2/3 year player or a Touk + Will Kelly. Think the former wins out as the 200k player is onfield.

This leaves me is your M4 Cripps/Rowell level player and you take a Sicily up plus strengthen a rookie player. You could not have a Cripps and potentially lift someone to a Heeney/Thomas/Sicily level, just a reasonable chance some of these players dont get the CBA time needed or competition for their roles. Cripps hurdle is higher as a mid, yet if Taranto didn't go forward for a few games he was an ok M8. I had $14m in the kitty/value last year and traded Taranto down at the end, not up, budget was stretched.

I can see a side where you push it this year with a side having plenty of 450k players, either will win it or blow up I expect, as it will reduce reliance on rookies who are thin on the ground at the 123k which will make us money.

Cripps has entered my side, avoided him last year. Walsh a factor now that if Cripps is back to 2019 form, maybe doesn't get tagged as much.

I can see myself pushing my luck with these 450k guys, think the risk is worth it though

I really like this side, just wish I could fit Mcgovern and Cripps in somewhere but it seems even this is leaving my backline weak

My back up to get Cripps or Mcgovern or whoever in decides on whether Weller performs this weekend or not

The current backup plan to get Cripps is, to drop Weller for Cripps, Sicily for Hewett, or someone and then a rookie that isn't looking likely rd1 to someone more likely and hopefully cheaper or dpp

Apart from that, i think its pretty ok, please if any of you see something i may have missed dont be shy to chuck a spotlight on it for me

i like it alot, VERY similar to mine, so much so its scary.
To me it seems very balanced, i like how strong every position seems on field. BUT the bench worries me, could get you into trouble if they dont play.

I neither hate nor love the English pick BUT i do like it, seems like a cheap POD to Gawn types, wish we could have another praccy match before round 1 to cement our opinions on English tho

How come JHF is on bench?

Enjoy, this is the best time with unlimited trades pre round 1!

Every rookie under 150k is unlikely to play except for maybe a few. Durdin, Hollands a good chance. Lose some premiums and will need more investment in cash cows. Good luck.

Your premiums are excellent, be prepared to be seduced by the cheap, underpriced or wanna be premium.

Finding it pretty difficult to find a balance of fielding quality premo’s and ensuring I have the most relevant rookies for cash generation. Is this side too risky given I’m having a serious punt on my midfield only having one certified gun (Oliver)? Is punting on Prestia/Cripps/Rowell to return to the premo conversation too much? Obviously can readjust rookies and potentially upgrade one of those to a certified premo, but not sure it’s worth it compromising my potential cash gen throughout the season.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated cheers.

I'm a little concerned with having so many PODs but if it goes well, the cash might be mine as others try to catch up. Other issue is the lack of clear captain choices so that will depend on the opponent each week and how they match up.

I have Hinge , McCartin & Sinn and not completely confident we get any of them.

Just curious which 5 you are running with ?

Kiddy has destroyed my planned structure , not sure whether to just replace him with a Bowey , Campbell , Milera , Richards type or completely revamp.

Could go Whitfield , Sicily & Hewett and just sit and wait.
