Dawson
Ownership 27.4%
VC 9.8% (Highest VC option)
Straight C 0.6%
So his ownership went up around 9.9%, and 10.4% (assuming all know loopholes) have him C.
As a couple have mentioned, there is definitely good score posting bias to take into account.
I'd still say this site he a broadish group think, so our members might be over those 27% and 10% numbers.

Victorian teams have a massive advantage every year with a massive stretch of games at home, all the interstate clubs are are on the road almost every other week. The travel component is huge, especially for the West Australian clubs.

God forbid the AFL want to put together a festival of footy to grow the game outside of Victoria. Hopefully they do it in WA next. And never in Victoria.
While Victorian teams don't have to travel as much, they also don't get the home ground advantage as much as interstate teams by playing at "neutral" venues (excluding Geelong). So I tend to think this argument is exaggerated.

But I was trying to steer away from this Vic vs Interstate never ending argument, by comparing Adelaide and Port to other interstate sides. They both have 12 home games this year, but Freo and WC only have 11. You can't argue that it's not an unfair advantage.

Also, noone wants Gather Round in Victoria, that's every round. The original post, only suggested to play the showdown this round.

Do we know what happened to Saad? Was it the knock to the head in a marking contest or something else?

He seemed very out of sorts tonight.
Didn't seem that worried about how crap he performed personally or how Carlton did tonight really, in the interview, just seemed very whatever about the whole thing.

Now the problem for Dawson/Laird VC people is, the score you're getting off your bench, to lock in the donut as C.
My wife has Laird VC
Cowan (42) E on the Def bench, no good.
Hollands (64) E on the Mid bench. To lock it in, it means benching Mackenzie. If Mackenzie goes 90, and he could with Day out and a potential role change, you are giving up 26 points, to lock in 134. That seems disadvantageous.
Chandler (YTP) on the Fwd bench. But the decision on Hollands needs to be made before Chandler plays, as Davey is the donut.

So, locking in Lairds 135 means either:
Locking in Hollands 65, and hoping Mackenzie doesn't go big.
Or
Ignoring Hollands, and hoping Chandler (and Mackenzie) goes well enough as you've locked his score in over Hawthorn's Greene.

Will probably do the 2nd one. Prolly.
Given the rest of my team this week, locking in Cowan was going to happen one way or another, so quite happy to use that to get Dawson's C, to give me 2/344 (Dawson)....it's just like locking in a 122, and then getting a ton from Cowan right....

Sorry to those who were asking about Chayce Jones. Can’t remember who I said it to, but I said steer clear. 116 today with last weeks 93 = $$$. My apologies.
That was probably me. I brought it up, but more out of interest than any likelihood I'd ever have got him in, as I'm trying to be disciplined about not trading for mid pricers through this period (There really should be a mid-price addicts anonymous...). Just thought as a top draft pick he might be at the age where it clicks, Time will tell if it has clicked or was a flash in the pan.

Dawson will be hard to get now for the none owners, he will be over the 650k mark now with a lowish BE next week as well 😎
It'll probably play out like it was meant to be this season, get heaps of injuries early, at least one per week, make the wrong vc/c choice each week for the first 4 weeks, rookies that you have already dumped miraculously start scoring really well, rookies that you kept that were scoring well start scoring like a floating garbage scow.
Midpricers that were going ok are now going like a tentative unconfident rookie in his first game...where every second possession is a clanger.
You probably get the gist by now.

Any idea whether Cole out helps or hinders Barrass' scoring? Keen to hear anyone's thoughts, particularly Eagles fans.
