That'd be a bargain wouldn’t it? SPS is only 23 and a former top draft pick, plenty of potential upside there if he gets his **** together, definitely has the talent. I’m guessing Carlton bringing in Cerra made him a little bit surplus to requirments?
Yep, I am very happy with this deal.

Simpson has already said that we will be playing him between midfield & half fwd, not in defence - I would like to see him & Shuey rotate between those positions. From what I can gather, he needs to build his tank/ fitness so that we will be a big focus for him this preseason.

Kade Chandler, Oskar Baker, Toby Bedford, Mitch Brown, Majak Daw, Deakyn Smith and Daniel Turner have all inked new deals which will see them remain in the Red and Blue for the upcoming season.

Baker and Bedford have been retained on the senior list, while Brown, Daw, Smith and Turner will remain on the rookie list for 2022.

Yeah also very happy with this trade, low price paid for what could be a very large upside.

He needs to put in the work this o***eason but with Knights & Schofield taking over the midfield group and stoppages... they should be able to get the best out of him.

Yeah I'm fairly disappointed with how cheap the asking price was for SPS but that's more a function of his on field performance and the coaching missteps with him, not the fault of list management.

Havent seen a huge amount of Young but the article says Carlton see him as a key defender, which makes him an interesting fit considering key defenders are not something we lack for...

Hopefully he gets utilised properly at the Eagles, I don't think he was ever given a proper go as a midfielder. Could have been work ethic issues, but always thought he should have been given far more of a run inside. You got him cheaply as well.

Coniglio not up for trade apparently, would not be interested in his contract either - considering how backwards he has gone as a player in recent times.

"GWS would be unwilling to part with either of its prized 2021 first-round draft picks that currently sit at No.2 and No.13, while captain Stephen Coniglio is also not on the table."

Think the Cerra trade was fair enough in the end, uncontracted player doesn't leave you in a great bargaining position from the get go. The pick 6 + future 3rd rounder = pick 4 according to the points system.

The Brodie trade I really love, reckon he's been starved of opportunities in a poor team with a history of developing players poorly. Not sure he's best 22 straight away but get's a chance to put pressure on the starting midfield and work his way in. Will likely dominate in the WAFL.

Hoping the pick 22 gets the deal done for Clark, another guy I really like who's been played out of position and starved of chances. Geelong really playing silly buggers here if they decline that offer and make Clark stay at the club against he's will. Pretty confident this one will go through, recent history suggests something will get done here - might go all the way to the deadline though this one.
