A combination of reasons, none of which on their own could convince me but putting them together has made me think about it. They are:
- I took out a couple of games in which the kid was subbed/played as a tagger (which I don't think he will do again) and his average lifted by 17ppg.
- In about a third of his games he has scored in the 75 to 99 point range, so he has the potential to do a bit better score wise than some rookies. And I would be just looking for those type of scores at the start of the season before I upgrade him to a fallen premium.
- He is a naturally talented player so I expect natural improvement.
- He should spend more minutes in the midfield this year rather than being mainly stuck up at one end of the ground, and the team he plays for has an opening for an extra midfield rotation.
- Reports are that he has been tearing up the track preseason
Of course the doubts are will he increase his output enough to be worthwhile picking and would he get consistently better scores at the start of the season?
And secondly have I mistakenly gone 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 8 !!
