Here is my current way too early to know for sure version:

Defenders:
Going with 3 who I feel confident will be in the top mix for their line in Flanders, Sheezel and Sinclair. There will often be some good value that appears down back and I want to be focussed on having flexibility to complete the line instead of having to chase top end talent. Mills picks himself if fit and playing, and then rookies will fill out the rest as things get clearer.
Midfielders:
Very keen on 3 + Oliver as my main investment here. Bont is pretty much a lock unless there are preseason concerns. The other two good change and probably will cycle a few here until I settle on the final picks. Think LDU has a bonkers year this year and also really like Serong's progression, but not 100% sold. Oliver seems a must have based on preseason reports too. Rookies for the rest.
Rucks:
Struggling!! Xerri locked but R2 is a battle. If Flynn and Boyd have the roles and security I may well bank some cash with a cheap R2/R3 and worry about who the premium rucks are when I know more.
Forwards:
Midprice madness! Will see if all stay viable over the preseason but if so, feels like too much value to ignore. Love JHF as a pick and will be a target for sure, but think he's one I can get by without if it doesn't fit the structure.
Flex:
Peatling for now, think the role is great and he'll score well enough to make some money and provide solid points. Tossing up Cam mackenzie instead but Peatling wins for now.

No concerns with the early byes, but there is an obvious issue with round 12 (not helped by the fact I currently have 6 North Melbourne players!!). Need to tweak things there but not sure who drops off - Sheezel or LDU most likely unless any of the MPers lost viability.
