Nothing I have read/heard had Heeney becoming a full mid, always expected him to split his time fwd.
Question is probably if someone else is justified as a better choice than him but the fwd line is pretty bare and he is a known quantity at least.
I think it just adds to the information.
He has an injury interrupted preseason (not necessarily endurance base, certainly touch)
Has exposed form pushing forward (cf last year, some ankle impact but high variance, shed 80k vs starting price at bottom-out)
Franklin fragility adds uncertainty
He’s working against the 8% starting inflation without much visible improvement potential
Points to lower value and maybe more suitability as an upgrade target as it stands.
But agree, fwd stocks are bare and we haven’t seen any Marsh form / who of other options will rule themselves in / out of contention.
